Ash's pov:

"mama!" and that's the first think I heard waking up after feeling a body fall on top of me.

"the fff.... heck Jake?" I asked, sitting up while he laughed his little 5-year-old butt off.

"you sleep too much! there is snow!" he said.

"snow? but we are in early November, snow is later" I told him.

"no it's not! there is snow!"

"child out kiddo, I get it there is snow.... so why did you wake me up?"

"mom went to the store with granny and I want to play" I sweat dropped a little as he had claimed my family officially as his.... well it will be at some time but I need to finish this school year so being with Anna isn't illegal anymore, I bet you forgot that part of teachers normally not being permitted to date students.

"you didn't ask Ally or Asha?"

"I want to play with mama!"

"alright buddy, I'm getting up, please don't cry" I may find it strange he claimed me as his mother but I will not break his heart by telling him I don't really count as that...... for now...

"YAY!!!!" he ran off while I sighed and opened my window blinds and there was really snow outside and it was still snowing, jeez goddess you really love to mess with us huh?

I put on black sweatpants, a long sleeved green pullover over my red T-shirt, a brow Jacket, I also put on my trusty boots with a scarf and fingerless gloves before grabbing a black beanie and leaving my room to find a beaming Jake in winter clothes already waiting for me, Jumping up and down.

"come on buddy, your mom will kill me if you aren't dressed well" I say.

"but I am"

"nah" I put on a beanie on his head, it may be a bit big but it's alright, a scarf around his neck and help him put his gloves on as he pouts because we are 'wasting time that we could spend in the snow'.... jeez.

I took a sticky note and stuck it on a visible place saying I took Jake to the park so he could play around with other kids if they were here.

"hey Jake, please call me Ash with other kids" I said while I took his hand and lead him towards the park.

"why mama?" he asked staring up at me.

"because it would mess up the surprise" I lied because I knew he wouldn't understand the problem my and Anna's relationship could cause to both of us.

"oh.... like a gift?"

"yeah, like a gift so shhh" I put my pointer finger in front of my mouth and he did the same with a big smile.

I sat on a bench I cleaned off the snow of and watching Jake play around, I played with him at first but soon other kids showed up so I let him play with them.

I cupped my hands in front of my mouth and blew hot air in them, why was I so stupid to choose these type of gloves?!

"here" a hand held a plastic cup (or I don't know what Starbucks cups are made of but this is made with the same material) "you seam cold"

"towards you yes" I said but still took the cup as it was true I was getting cold "what do you want Lea? push me around for having one bigger then Jefferson? show how good you are? insult me? show my face in a snow pile?" she sighed as cleaned on the snow that was left on the bench and sat down without saying a word with her own drink.

"you know I regret, we all do and told you before the Ben and Ashton accident" she said while I sighed...... oh Ashton....

"and I told you I don't believe you, you already turned my trust against me bestie" I spat out bestie with so much venom it could have melted the snow.

"look, I have a pack to lead soon, I can't have you bother me" I say.

"oh right, you Blackblood's are alphas of the biggest pack of mixt creatures"

"yes but forget that, you still are to answer my first question"

"well if you still remember some stuff about my family you'd know I have twin bros that are 7 now" I almost spit out my drink laughing while she stared strangely at me.

"I bet you jumped on you and dragged you out here because it was snowing"

"how the heck did you--" "same happened to me this morning" I said, sighing, here I am..... having a casual conversation with my old bestie and new worst enemy.... oh good goddess save me.

"you have a brother!?"

"nah.... Mrs. Clairs is part of my pack you see and she went shopping so I'm keeping an eye on her son, babysitting if you will" I said, no way I'm tell her of all people that Anna is my mate.

"that's understandable...... hey Ash?" she said after some calm and relaxing silent she needed to break, goddess dammit.

"what?"

"let's start over okay?"

"what??" I was more confused, start over what.

"like we never met before, strangers like on the first day of school, I ran into you and then we became friends? hmmm? are you in?" I stared at her hand held out for me to shake.

I stared at it for a while longer before sighing and shaking her hand, what am I getting myself in again Moon?

"alright so.... hi I'm Lea Lance, a human earth mage and 18" she said with a big smile, I couldn't help but smirk, she really was taking this seriously.... let's just hope you don't mess up because there is no third chance after this second chance.

"hello, name's Ash Blackblood, half an alpha werewolf and half a vampire and also 18, 19 at the end of the month"

we talked for a while and even if I still don't trust her much, it was much better than being pushed in a pile of snow or being alone on this bench.

I sighed, let's hope Anna gets home soon because I'm tired and Jake surely will not let me sleep.
