"Oh the possibilities that could happen in the City of Love."

Avelyn
Today was our last day in Paris and I honestly didn't want to leave. We had only been here for three days but within those three days it had been so wonderful. I mean sightseeing, not all during the day as well.
Sometimes Shawn and I would go out during the night to see the Eiffel Tower lit up. I never imagined seeing myself here, I knew it was a place I always wanted to visit. Though actually being there in person and being able to touch the tower was amazing. I needed Shawn to talk as much pictures of me touching it as possible.
It was like at any moment I could wake up and this all be a big dream. Starting with Shawn and I, us being friends then the traveling. How close we've gotten and this whole trip. I've had dreams that have felt so surreal and every time I woke up in the morning i hoped and prayed this was real.
"We've been here a hundred times within the last day." I heard Shawn say bringing me out of thoughts.
I looked around as I seen a little bit of the snow melt off the grass. I looked up at him and rolled my eyes as I hugged my arms around my body.
"Sorry Shawn not everyone comes to Paris as much as you do. Sorry I want to take in every moment that I can." I told him.
"Hey that's not what I meant, all I'm saying is Paris is big. There's so much we could've seen but we always end up here." Shawn told me.
I spun around as I stood underneath the Eiffel Tower. I stopped and looked over towards Shawn. He stood there with his arms crossed and that smile.
"What?" I asked.
He shook his head, "Nothing."
"Nothing sounds like a whole lot of something." I told him as I walked over towards him.
He rolled his eyes, "Yeah well wouldn't you like to know."
"Yeah that's why I asked." I told him.
He chuckled, "Well my lips are sealed so good luck."
We then walked away from the tower and he threw his arm around my shoulder. I loved the way guys cologne smelled, like sometimes it annoyed girls and it does if it's too much. But if it's not a lot but he still smells good, wow marry me.
That's the way Shawn smelled, I could literally hug him all day just to smell him. Maybe even it would rub off on me so I could constantly be smelling it.
We then started walking to a little cafe to eat lunch. Our flight was going to leave on a couple hours. It made me sad to leave such a beautiful city which was in a beautiful country. I didn't want to leave Europe, just like Shawn said I would fall in love so much and not want to leave. We ordered our lunch and went to sit down as we waited.
"So I hoped you enjoyed this trip." Shawn told me.
I shook my head, "Nope, it was horrible I hated everything about this trip."
He waited a little, "That's sarcasm isn't it?"
"Of course Shawn, I loved this trip. Everything about it, I still can't believe you didn't let me pay for one thing. I think that's the only part of this trip I hated, other than that I loved this trip." I told him.
"I couldn't let you pay for anything Avelyn, if I did then I'd hate the trip." He explained.
I laughed, "So what? You'd rather me hate it then you hate it?"
"Of course, because what you hate about it is what I loved about it." Shawn told me with that beautiful smile.
"Oh Shawn you're too good for this world. I don't deserve you, no one does, good luck finding a girl worthy of you. Cause trust me someone like you is hard to find, a one in a million." I told him.
He smiled, "Well I think I might have found her."
"Oh yeah and who might that be?" I asked.
He opened his mouth but was cut off when the waitress came by. She set down our food and drinks and asked us if we wanted anything else. We told her no and then our thank you's before she left.
"Well I'm starving." Shawn said.
I nodded and forced a smile, he didn't even finish what he was going to say. Part of me thought maybe he did feel the same and maybe when we landed back home we'd be something more than friends. Then again maybe my feelings were the one making me think he was going to say me.
He has other girl friends, I don't know if he acts the same with him. I don't know if he flirts with them or even talks to them a lot. What if I really was just a friend and he was just acting like his friendly self. I didn't know how he acted around other girls so I didn't know whether or not I was different.
We had finished up lunch before leaving back to the hotel. We gathered all our things and headed to the airport. We went through all the airport routine before we managed to board the plane.
"Do you want me to have window this time?" Shawn asked me.
I shook my head, "No I love being able to see everything from high up. For once I don't feel so small."
"Okay but if you need to use the bathroom or walk around just wake me up and say something." He told me.
I laughed as I sat down, "Alright but you are a deep sleeper."
"I am not you're just being a tease." He said with a smirk.
I shook my head, "Glad to know after all these months of being friends you're finally catching on."
He sat down next to me in his seat and smiled. We then waited for everyone to find their seats and for the plane to take off. It always made me nervous to actually get off the ground but other than that it was smooth flying. Shawn must've noticed because right before the plane was about to take off he took my hand in his.
He interlaced them and gave it a squeeze so that I had his hand to hold. It worked, it gave me comfort just like his music did. There was just something about him that makes me feel so safe.
And I never wanted to lose that feeling.
