37. Hospital

"I always hated hospitals, and now I hated them even more."

My eyes felt heavy as I tried to open them, I heard the sound of monitors beeping. I felt a little pain in my stomach and in my arm. I opened my eyes finally and was blinded by the bright light.

"Ugh why does it look like a spot light is on me?" I asked as I put my arm over my eyes.

My throat felt a little sore and scratchy as I talked which hurt. I looked around to see both Shawn and Andrew in my room. Shawn sat up so fast and grabbed my hand in his.

"How do you manage to still be funny even when you're in a hospital bed?" He asked with a chuckle.

I smiled as I put weakly squeezed his hand, "It's just part of my charm I guess."

"So how are you feeling?" He asked going back to the very concerned person he was.

I shrugged, "Like shit mostly because I haven't had this happen since I was like ten. But I'm alive and breathing so it's not as bad."

"You gave me quite the scare Avelyn, why didn't you ever tell me about your allergies?" Shawn asked.

I smiled weakly, "Because I normally never see blended up broccoli. It's usually very easy to spot so I never thought I needed to say something till then."

He smiled but I knew it hurt him, but it wasn't his fault. I mean like he said I didn't even tell him.

"Shawn you didn't know, I don't blame you for this. I should've asked what was in it before I tried it especially since I know I have a server allergy." I explained.

He smiled, "Yeah it's just inviting you on tour wasn't supposed to end up with you in a hospital."

I was about to say something but I remembered we weren't alone. Andrew then cleared his throat which caused me to look at him.

"Avelyn I contacted your parents and they're relieved to know you're okay. They be here by tomorrow I thought I would let them know." He explained.

I nodded, "Oh well they didn't need to be here. But thank you I appreciate it."

He nodded as he stood up, "Though with that being said we have to continue with tour. We are supposed to be in Singapore in two days."

I had totally forgot it was our last day here and we were supposed to be on a flight to Singapore. And I know Shawn can't cancel and I wouldn't let him. I'm no one important on this tour, I was just a guest.

"Oh I totally forgot." Shawn spoke up.

I looked over at him and forced a smile, "Well you gotta go rule the music world Mendes. Can't exactly do that from here can you?"

"No but I don't exactly want to leave you here. Like I said I invited you on this tour and you can't even continue it because of something I did." He explained to me.

I shook my head, "Shawn one this is coming from someone who was a big fan of yours you need to continue the tour. And two for the last time you didn't know so please stop blaming yourself."
