In the end, I couldn't sleep at all last night. My thoughts and feelings have been running wild, still trying to put the puzzle pieces together.
Was it even possible that he purposely acted like a jackass to protect me?
It sounded like something from a fairytale.
If it sounded ridiculous, I somehow didn't hate him anymore. My heart felt relieved? As if a part of me wished that this was true and not made up. All the built up resentment disappeared as if it never existed and only fondness and a peak of interest replaced it.
Everything made sense and I tried to make reasoning of everything. I pieced together why he did everything slowly. But the only way I would know for sure was if I spoke with him.
Communicated with him.
Question was...
Who was really my enemy?
And who was my ally?
I just refused to believe it, even though I witnessed it in front of my eyes.
There was one thing I knew for sure though; Odette was officially a marked enemy.
However, I needed to act like nothing happened last night; just to not rise any suspicion. If I did, things would go downhill, and whoever he is trying to protect will be in danger.
I also needed to speak with him, and this time...
Let's hope we can be more productive than before.
So much to do, yet so little time.
Wasabi growled in agreement, 'If worse comes to worse, I'll mask your scent again like I did when you spied on them.'
I could almost widen my eyes in disbelief, 'You masked my scent? Is that why they couldn't sense me or smell me?' I asked.
Wasabi nodded her head deeply, roughly grunting out, 'You're the daughter of an alpha. Of course you have an ability to do so. You didn't know? All werewolves could do this.'
I shook my head, causing her to go to the deepest corner of my mind before cutting the link; her confusion very evident since last night.
Not knowing what to do next, I head downstairs to speak with my best friend.
The one I had since the beginning.

Kace was busy reading a book on how to be a better mate. It made me want to laugh at him but I knew he was trying to be good to his mate.
Suddenly, my mate pops out of nowhere and suggested another book to Kace that could help him with his reading.
Maybe my mate should read what Kace is reading.
Take his own advice for once.
Kace went over to thank him, still cautious but at the same time, respectful. He offered out his hand, but he only stared at it.
A eyebrow rose, but he took it with a clap, shaking it firmly.
Kace stepped away back to my side, the silence evident.
My mouth opened to say something as well, as it snapped shut when a figure behind him came forth.
Multiple in fact.
"What's going on here?" Krill asked, his clothing ruffled as his mate, Shaline, cling onto him with her loose robe.
Where has he been?
Behind him, stood Eugene, Serena, Corbyn, Vivian, and Mela.
They were looking at Krill and Shaline with weird expressions, before Eugene blurted out, "Were you the guys that were making so much noise last night?!"
Serena mumbled tiredly, "If you guys are doing the dirty, can you please keep it down? I couldn't get a wink of sleep last night."
Corbyn had a frown on his face, "So... you really liked to be called, 'Master', Beta Krill?"
Vivian was snorting, "Sweet Mother of Vagina! There was so much pounding against the wall last night! Please tell me I wasn't just hallucinating."
Krill and Shaline's faces flushed, as Shaline buried her face into Krill's chest, hiding her embarrassment for as much as she could.
Mela was yawning, one eye peeked open, "Baby... what's wrong? Why did you leave the bed so early?" she asked Kace, who had his eyes rolled back in laughter.
Wiping a strand tear away, he chuckles out, "It's a long story, I'll explain to you later," he replied smoothly, walking over to her sleepy form to slip his arms around her waist.
Krill, who was silent during all this finally voices, "I'm no longer the Beta, because I had only served her... father. Alpha Reed will have to choose a new one to represent her pack."
My eyes widened in clear shock, but died down.
It seemed like his bashfulness from earlier vanished into thin air.
Biting the inside of my cheek, I voice, "As of now, I won't choose a Beta. For my reasoning, I'll discuss with everyone later."
My pack members chattered among themselves but I shook my head, silencing them.
"I have my reasons. Please understand."
They nodded, respecting my decision. My mate stood in the distance, staring at me while I made my choice.
Observing the crowd.
Due to Reese being my mate, our packs would have to merge and I'd willingly step down my Alpha title. Truth be told, it's a lot of work and I am perfectly fine being Luna. Although I came here as respect to being an Alpha, it was more for my fathers sake than mine.
Suddenly, he stood toe to toe to me.
Automatically, my head tilted upwards, meeting his scorching yet cold gaze.
It's always cold...
Without looking at his beta and gamma and still keeping eye contact with me, he ordered them with a gruff voice, "Start training the warriors. It's has already begun."
A mutter Of, "Yes, Alpha!" Answered to his call, the footsteps thumping against the wood floor as the two grown males and their mates followed closely behind.
Kace and Mela decided to follow after them, since it was also training for them as well. Krill and Shaline went back upstairs, going back to sleep.
Finally, he parted his lips, saying, "We have lots of work to do. Follow me, let's begin your training."
He then turned around, and walked outside onto the field.
I followed right behind him, the trail leading deeper and much further away from the pack house. Soon enough, we were near the pack lands but almost completely alone.
The warriors were far off to the distance, as so were my friends.
As I turned around to get into a fighting position, he tried to punch me.
But I blocked his attack.
What the fuck!
