I groaned as the morning lights seeped through my windows.

Sitting up on my bed, I let out a yawn. I was stretching and attempting to wake up my body. Honestly, I love being in bed. It's almost like a second home to me.

My eyes started adjusting to the room, and I realized I wasn't in my room.

That's right... I'm in his pack now.

Clicking my tongue, my eyes land on a clock on my nightstand.

6:34 am.

Oh.

My.

Fucking.

God.

Kicking off the covers, I scrambled towards the bathroom, snatching the clothing I would use for training before I dashed into the restroom to prepare for the day.

Serena was so kind as to lend me her training shorts and fitness bra, which immensely helped.

The bathroom was fancy and already had an unopened toothbrush.

After brushing my teeth, I turn on the water tap and rinse my mouth, washing my face before turning the tap off and wiping my face with a gray towel.

I changed quickly, tossing my PJ rags onto my bed.

Finally, I was up and running. I made sure I looked presentable before opening the door and rushing downstairs. Once my foot landed on the last step, I noticed how many pack members were in business suits or uniforms.

They were getting ready for work.

Teenagers were getting ready to leave for school while the pups trailed behind a nanny who led them toward a mini classroom just for them.

Snapping out of a daze, I start walking faster to the door, slamming it open to run out onto the field.

'Is mate going to scowl us?' Wasabi suddenly voiced in my head, pacing around nervously.

'If he is, I'll tell him that Earth is full and that he should go home,' I sarcastically remarked.

Wasabi snarled her canines at me, 'Why didn't you wake up early?! This is a terrible first impression, and you know first impressions last for a very long time!"

My response died on my tongue, 'You should have woken me up then since you're another alarm clock, and you're active in my mind 24/7.'

Wasabi didn't say anything after that, which made me assume she cut the link.

Up far ahead, I could see the warriors doing sideways push-ups while others were dueling one another, practicing their combat skills.

My heart started to contract when I scented his smell.

If only I could bathe in it all day...

He seemed to have smelled me, too, because his head, once trained on his warriors in a parade rest position, suddenly lifted and landed on me.

His blueish but green eyes stared hard but deeply into mine, but still... they were so cold. Yet the bond fizzled, wanting us to draw together, but we both resisted.

We stared at each other for hours, but I was the first to make eye contact.

As I did, he bellowed, "You're late, Ms. Reed."

And then all the warrior's heads snapped up, their attention now on me.
