Blood, Sweat, and Tears

Chapter 7

"Put your guns and equipment down." Jason tells me. He ties Vanessa first then comes towards me and also ties me up on a chair.

"Boss." A guard comes in the room. He's shot in the shoulder and bleeding badly. "We can't keep up with the two boys outside. We already have multiple casualties but we were able to land some bullets to them."

"You're all stupid and inexperienced." Jason grabs a chair and throws it. "2 kids are only injured versus highly trained men? You guys are pieces of shit."

The guard exits the room leaving me, Vanessa, and Jason. The room was at the front of the house and we could see bullets flying everywhere. The glass is bulletproof because a bullet hit the glass and it didn't break.

"You are a perfect bait for our target."

Jason brings us out and we are still tied up to our chairs, he's actually strong enough to carry both of us without breaking a sweat.

"Surrender! Or they die." Jason points a Revolver on Vanessa's head and another guard pointed a gun to my head also.

Just silence. For 2 minutes to be exact, that's how tense it is, I even had to count it. Until a car out of nowhere started going full speed towards us. Then out of nowhere Cody grabbed our chair then moved it out of the way, everyone fled away except Jason. He's got guts, he started shooting at Cody, then Tyler shot Jason by the stomach then Jason kneeled.

"Boss! Get out! The car has a bomb!" A guard grabbed Jason and went inside.
They couldn't get outside because Tyler is shooting at them if they try to escape. Cody removed us from our ties but Vanessa was too weak to walk. Cody carried her and we got out on time.

BOOM!

Every classical action movie. Main characters get out in time while behind them are explosions.

We went back inside the car and this time Cody is the one that drove us back to his house. We know it's a really long time to travel but it's the only place we know we are safe.

Vanessa looks like she's beaten up. She has bruises almost in every part of her body. The side of her head was bleeding and her nose is also bleeding.

"Vanessa it's okay." Tyler touches her forehead. "You're with us now. Right now, you need is to rest."

"Ty-tyler." Vanessa stutters. "I ne-need water." It looks like they didn't pity her, just tortured her.

We stopped by a convenience store to get some food, water, and healing supplies. It was getting dark so we decided to park the car somewhere and we'll just sleep inside it.

I slept on the seat because it's long enough just for my height. Vanessa and Tyler is sleeping together and Cody is just in the driver's seat.

"Hey Cody." I sit and go near him. "Got a second?"

"Sure."

"Do you think we involved Tyler and Vanessa into some crazy shit?" I ask while fixing my hair, I look messy.

"Yeah, I think so too. I mean they are just orphans and they need someone, like us, to help them." Cody looks at them. "I wonder how did they get along?"

"Just sleep Cody. So we can continue our adventure tomorrow again."

I slept after saying that sentence.

---------8 hours later---------
I woke up and I see Cody driving the car already while Tyler and Vanessa are still asleep.

"How many hours did you sleep?" I rubbed my eyes because of the brightness of the sun rising.
