Blood, Sweat, and Tears

Chapter 18

I feel this is a trap. Maybe a co-leader of Carvo or Rolando is behind all of this.

"I'll drive." Javièr says.

We were driving for about and hour and a half. I was lying down and I didn't sleep, I could see streetlights passing through the windows and there is usual traffic but it's not heavy.

"Why is there even traffic?" Javièr says. "It's just 1:15 am in the morning."

"I dunno. Maybe that's how Chicago is."

"Well we're here." Javièr stops the car.

I sit and I see a factory a few hundred meters away from us. What's weird is there are a few of suspicious people walking around or patrolling the area. What I mean by suspicious is that they are holding knives and I could clearly see them, they are also in a group of three or four.

"Sneak our way in?"

"Yeah." Tyler opens the door and shuts it quietly. "These guys don't look that friendly."

There are a few buildings away from the factory but it's pretty far away. We parked somewhere in the bushes and hopefully they won't see it.

We sneak our way in and luckily it was right timing. As soon as we entered the next group patrolled.

The factory looks big and it's barely lit. I mean there are a few lights that are on but not that bright, my eyes still have to adjust before seeing the inside properly.
We pass by some machines that I don't recognize and some guards also. They are wearing police outfits but I don't want to misinterpret them to be good if they're just wearing guard outfit, maybe it's a strategy to make us think they are real guards, I don't wanna risk it.

We finally see a door with light coming from the little cracks on the wall and we tried to open it and it's locked.

"Shit." Tyler says quietly.

"What?" I ask.

"It won't open." Tyler lets go of the doorknob.

"Maybe it's the rest room and they were doing their business in there." Javièr holds back his laugh.

"Now I understand why Kyle wants a zipper in your mouth." I say to him.

"Shh! Quiet." Tyler warns us. "We don't want to get spotted right?"

We pass by a couple more doors until the wall suddenly opens and scared the living hell out of us. We hid right away from whoever the person was. It looks like a guard, still wearing a guard's outfit.

We enter the secret door before it closes and we see a complete secret part of the building.

My eyes were greeted by bright lights and a white big room, probably the size of two football fields. Unfortunately this time there aren't a lot of spots where we could hide together so we each go separate ways so that each of us has a spot where they couldn't see us.

I hide behind a big pillar then a guard and a person in a lab coat pass by. There are two floors and the fist floor is filled with various types of machines and a lot of people wearing lab coats. The floor of the second floor is glass while the outer part of it is metal.

There are a few doors that we pass by and we see people in them. The room is filled with foam like a psychopath room and the people in them are acting weird, weird I mean that some are walking like spiders some are smiling creepily and some are even just dropped dead I'm not sure if they are dead though.

"Ray!" Tyler taps my back. I was shocked and he whispered me something. "Javièr is caught. He went in the room in front of us."

"What?" I ask. "I don't understand what you're talking about."

"He was followed by a guy then was chocked and was covered by a piece of cloth. I didn't go and save him because more guards came and luckily they didn't set off the alarm." Tyler trails behind me as we enter the room quietly.

The room was empty but it looks like this leads to a corridor with more and more rooms and doors. The corridor lead to stairs going down and it went even deeper, I see a subway station that's modified or should I say fancier. The subway station is empty and there are more doors. The first door goes up, second door goes straight, while the third door goes down.

"Why are there so many doors?"

"Maybe this is a government secret facility." Tyler says. "There are guards and scientists here, plus the guards are wearing guards outfit."

"Then why would they kidnap Javièr?"

"Maybe because he went in restricted territory or something. And maybe they're looking for us next."

"What door should we go in?"

"Hmm." Tyler thinks. "My best guess is he went deeper underground so the third door."

I open it quietly and it leads to stairs that are still white just like the whole facility. We walked down hoping to find Javièr and get out of here as soon as possible. Maybe Tyler is right, this might be a government secret facility that we are entering right now and it's restricted territory.

We reached the end of the stairs and we were in some like dungeon room. There are iron doors with locks and a hole that you could look through. There's a person in the first door while the other doors are empty, we checked just in case Javièr is in here. The room had corridors going left or right. The corridor at the left leads to like a torture chamber because I could see an electric chair while the corridor at the right leads to one more door. We just decided to go to the corridor at the right and enter the door.

We open it slowly and silently until two guards grabbed Tyler and I and we were dragged to the room.

"Looks like you found me." A voice said.

I lift my head up to see who it is and guess who it is.
