Blood, Sweat, and Tears

Chapter 4

Even though his warm kiss of his lips touching mine and continuous warnings to me, I still refused to stay here.

"Cody, nothing can stop me from getting my revenge from that son of a bitch! I shout angrily but not loud enough so that the enemies can't hear us. "I'm coming with you no matter what."

It took Cody a few minutes to decide whether or not I will go with him. But eventually, he trusted me to go with him.

"Hoping that we will go out with all our limbs intact. Fine you can go with me, I saw your practice that's enough to kick some ass." Cody grabs a gun out of the car and a handgun, Glock. Then grabs 2 masks.

"We don't want them to know it's us so how about we wear masks instead?" He gives me my mask. "Your mask is going to help you breathe better."

We both gear up and make sure that our plan is good and stealthy. Our plan is to kill the few guards at the front. (He will kill the guards because I don't want to kill anybody.) Then go through the ventilation which is big enough for a person like me to pass through. We will split up because the vent is too small for Cody, we will just communicate through our ear piece.

"Just hope I will still see you again after this shit." Cody smiled but failed and instead it looked creepy.

"Yeah... I guess... Just forget about the kiss I don't want to remember it." Cody suddenly stopped smiling when I said that.

We entered the building that looks like an abandoned warehouse. The guards that were guarding the doors were really easy to take down. Cody just strangled them and they didn't make any sound that may alarm the other guards.

I entered the vents and the first thing I saw is dust and spiderwebs. It took about 16 minutes before I could find Cervi. He was in a room with just a teenager, the teenager looks like 15. (maybe same age as me)

"You could not kill me, I'm your dad. Your my son. You could never kill me Jason, if you do, you will never know the secrets of the family". The familiar voice said, maybe it's Cervi talking to his son. I went closer so that I could see the people talking in the room. Sure enough it was Cervi and his son Jason.

"True, true." The raspy and deep voice said. "I'll just have to find the secrets myself."

BANG!

Shit. Jason shot his own dad straight to the head.

BANG!
BANG!
BANG!

Fatality. As if one bullet wasn't enough to kill his own father, he had to shoot him 3 more times.

"I am now the new ruler of the Rolando family." He walked out of the door.

"Hey Cody?"

"Yeah Ray?"

"We got a new problem." I said while adjusting the ear piece. "Cervi is dead. Killed by his own son, Jason. Jason is the new boss of Rolando family."

"Well Jason is our new target, before we leave because we might get caught. Could you gather intel about Jason's profile? I'll wait for you at the entrance, make sure you aren't spotted."

I went through the vents again and stumbled upon a room with a LOT of cabinets. "Many" could not compare as to how many cabinets there are in the room. Good for me they are all labeled, like "Mafia Leaders", "Hired Men", "Possible Assassins To Hire", and many many more. Until I saw the cabinet that is labeled, "PRIVATE INFO".

I searched for about 13 minutes and I finally found the folder containing Jason's identity. It stated:

Jason Rolando:       
--------------------------
*15 years old

*Experienced hand to hand combatant

*Intelligent enough not to fuck up in missions

*Wanted the secrets since he turned 7 years old

That was it. I grabbed the folder and went back again through the vents going back to Cody. You know the vents reek? It smells like a dead rat died here for 5 years. Seriously it smells like a dead organism.

After about 23 minutes Cody called again.

"Ray where the hell are you?" He said angrily. "I can't stay here any longer the guard's bodies have been found. Hurry!"

I went through the vents as fast as I could when I heard gunshots coming out of the entrance. I finally saw the exit and ran as fast as I can. The car was parked far from the entrance as to not get attention, there were bullets flying through me. I saw a shadow entering the car and it did not look like Cody. When I was close to the car the shadow I saw earlier was a guard,but this time police. Cody stabbed him where the heart is and shot him at the head.

"What the fuck Cody!" I went inside the car and threw the body as far as I can. "He was a police guard! He could have a family!"

"Baylee go go!" He ignores what I told him and ducks because the car windows are not bulletproof.

"Shit! Duck Ray!" He pushed me to the floor of the car. I saw some glass shards on the floor.

Baylee drove as fast as she could out from the crossfire. I could hear sirens with red and blue lights. Looks like the police found out about them. But we suddenly stopped when Baylee said:

"Sir Cody there are two other people behind us. They look like teens."

I looked back and saw two shadows running towards the car. When the shadows got closer I saw the face of one girl and one boy. They entered the car and Baylee drove again.

"Who are you?" Cody said while pointing his gun towards the boy. "Are you people who work for Jason?"

"Hey whoa WHOA!" Put the gun down!" The tall boy said who has kind of brown hair. His voice sounds kind and he is kinda tall.

"Not unless you tell me who you fuckers are!"

"We don't work for Jason nor the the Rolando family! We just escaped from their torture!" The girl said. She has more brown in her hair than the boy. She is shorter than the boy but still a bit taller than me.

"Cervi tortured you? Good thing that son of a bitch is dead." Cody said.

"I'm Vanessa." The girl said with her teary eyes.

"I'm Tyler. We were locked up in that building for a long ass time. We are trained kids from the orphanage."

"You could fight?"

"Hell yeah we could fight."
