He's got to be lying. I have known my dad for how many years now, he could not be fake. I'm also a bit, thinking it through about the fake dad thing. There has been sometimes that he has not being a father and more of an undercover agent.
"I'm still not convinced." I look at him straight to the eyes. He has matching gray eyes and the scar fits perfectly in his face. "Where did you get this evidence?" I eye him suspiciously, he is always serious, he never tells jokes to anyone but straight to the point and he says it honestly.
"I know that you infiltrated one of the hideouts of Cervi thanks to the help of Javièr. When the police came it was an all out gun fight. After a few hours of shooting, the enemies have been neutralized." Kyle says it with his serious voice.
Sometimes Kyle sounds like a robot, he uses words that are not used during casual conversations.
"I snuck inside and I found a shit ton of cabinets in one room." Maybe it's the room I found. "Then I saw a cabinet labeled, Sleeper Agents." He hands me a folder named after me. It says there:
Ray Joley
------------------------
-Possible future target, keep close eye to the target-Nothing suspicious so far, but it seems our agent is growing affection to the target
-New mission, kill sleeper agent. Dangerous rogue on the loose
I stare at the folder for a few minutes and read it again and again until i remember every single word in it. Then I looked up to Kyle. Is my father really a sleeper agent? How come he did that? Why did he do this to me? Who's my real father? I have so many questions right now, but Kyle sees my face and talks to me some more.
"The research me and Javièr have gathered so far is that, your "father" needed money so he joined the Rolando Gang. He agreed to just become a sleeper agent until he is called in a serious situation. Your mom at that time divorced with your real dad and decided to marry the fake dad. Then you came, he suddenly grew affection towards you and completely forgot about the task assigned to him. This was a big problem for the Rolando's and they decided to him. But before he was killed, he had left clues and secrets about the Rolando Family. He knew this would be dangerous for him and someone will get involved, but it's the only way to bring down the Rolando Gang."
"Then who's my real father? Why did he leave me? What's his name? Why did he leave my mother?" I was still asking Kyle.
"That's the only information we have so far, we can't answer all of your questions until we know we have the real answers." Kyle opens the door and we enter.
I see Cody and Javièr typing on their laptops, both of them are not particularly social but they are still friends.
"Where's Tyler and Vanessa?" I walk towards Cody, I need him to guide me through the mansion because it's huge. That's only covering the top layer, he has a basement, and that basement is the entire hill all covered nicely and only Cody memorized the places underground. This place is so big that Cody's parents decided to hire tour guides to help people who are inside the mansion.
"They're at A13, E2 room." Cody tells me and eyes Kyle. "How about you bring Kyle and introduce him to our friends?"
"Sure." I say sarcastically, but he didn't seem to notice.
We entered using the card that Cody gave me, the usage of the underground facility is highly classified. The secret door opened and we entered.
When the secret door opened, I was greeted by a tour guide, he is a boy, he looks like he's somewhere between 24-29 years old. Sometimes looks can be deceiving.
"Welcome to the basement level of the mansion." I don't know if this is even qualified as a basement. "Where would you like to go?"
"A13, E2."
"Ah, the hospital. Right this way."
He guided us through the underground level and we were taking a lot of turns, this level is humongous. We finally stopped in front of a door with a few windows in them. We entered and we see a few curtains covering beds with people in them. Vanessa's bed had no curtains so we see Tyler and Vanessa.
Vanessa was lying down on a bed while Tyler was sitting on a chair beside her. Vanessa still looks all bruised up but most bruises are covered already.
"Hi." Tyler tells us. "Who's that guy?" He points at Kyle.
"Well. That's my batch mate in school. Kyle-Tyler, Tyler-Kyle." I introduce them to each other. "The one on the bed is Vanessa."
"What happened to her?" Kyle asks and gets two chairs and gives on to me.
"Thanks." I say. "If you want to know what happened to her, it's a really long story."
"Kyle and Ray you are needed in the top level right now." The intercom tells us. "It's an emergency."
"Now what's this shit?"
We followed the tour guide back up in the top level. Instead of saying it, top floor or basement, they're just called levels instead. We ran towards another secret entrance and we came out of the fireplace. We head to the kitchen near the door.
The TV is on and it was the news.
"Several kidnaps and murders have been committed in the past few days." The news reporter said while showing pictures of dead censored bodies. "The act of killing and kidnapping is still unknown, we still don't know the main reason of these murders. But all of the families that are murdered has a number written on the wall."
It flashes more photos of dead innocent people and numbers written on blood on the walls. "The number of families dead are 8. All innocent people and have no bad background. People believe these numbers could be translated into words. The words that they have theorized so far is, Seven, Grade, Rover, and Jason. All of which has five letters and five numbers written on the wall of the dead families."
"Jason." Cody grabs on a paper and crumples it as hard as he can. "You son of a bitch."
