Chapter 15

"I'm here to help you."

"And why is that?"

"Because... I can't tell you. But I'm just here to help you. Bye."

He hung up. I go back to Cody and I tell him what Jason told me.

"Maybe it's a trap, maybe he wants to lure you into something bad. But either way, it's still fishy." Cody closes laptop.

"I know, I know. But why will he help the others enter Chicago then?"

I'm still puzzled by Jason's actions. This might be a trap to lure all of us for his evil plans.

We waited for about an hour and a half before someone knocked on the door.

"Hello? Is anyone home?"

I open the door a little bit and I see Tyler, Vanessa, Javièr, and Kyle.

"Guys?" I open the door and Vanessa hugs me. "You can't believe how happy I am to see you!"

"You guys were missing for a few weeks already!" Vanessa hugs me tightly.

"Sorry it took so long." Javièr sits down on a recliner. "A random teen made us stop and give this letter to the second girl we see in a room."

Javièr hands me a small envelope that is not transparent and not see through. Everyone was eyeing the envelope and hoping to see something unexpected.

I open it slowly and I see a letter and a rose. I open the letter and it said there:

I stare at the complete random number and I realize it's not a real number, I just hope if I do need his help this is his number.

I get the rose and it's vibrant red color is distracting me eyes because of its beauty. It's wonderful scent is so fragrant and it makes the room smell good.

"That's all?" Javièr says in disappointment. "I was hoping secret spy stuff."

"Shut up." Kyle says angrily. "You watch too many cliché spy movies."

"Anyways. What happened to you guys?" Tyler says. "It has been weeks since you have been missing."

I explain to them everything from getting kidnapped, to getting lost in the woods.

"So Jason has a brother named Lars?" Tyler says in surprise. "And both of them are working on a top secret project designed to rule America? That's fucked up."

"They didn't have that data in the CIA." Kyle puts his hand on his chin. "The data doesn't state that Jason has a brother or the projects Pegasus and Phoenix are in action."

"And where did you get this?"

"Well my dad works for the CIA and I sneak and look at the major problems of the CIA to keep me updated." Kyle looks at me.
