Chapter 23

"Actually I change my mind. We need the specific information from the guards." Javièr turns the car.

"The radio is binded with the guards walkie talkies, if that's what you call them."

"It's radio, I think."

So instead of going to the docks, we are staying near the docks to listen to what the guards say. We are near a cliff side so we park away from that.

"You can go out of the car but make sure to just stay near the car."

We are all bored so Javièr allows us to go outside but not far away. Tyler and Vanessa squat near the cliff side and look at the sunset, it's so beautiful. It's a sight to see, I squat to also see the sunset until someone squats beside me and puts his hand on my shoulder. It was Cody.

I was a bit shocked about this but I also just go with it. Do you think he's rushing it a bit? I think so.

"Beautiful right?" Cody smiles. "It's a bit ironic that this is so beautiful but meanwhile there is bloodshed happening."

"It's beautiful."

Cody looks at me, it looks like there's something on my face because he rubbed my cheek with his hand. His green eyes look so calm and collected.

"Why are you blushing?" Cody's tone sounds like he's joking.

"I'm not." Then I realize that I am blushing when I get my cellphone and I look at myself. I haven't blushed for a long time, the only time that I blush is when Kyle talks with me before.

I only noticed now that Cody, looks more handsome than I thought. What the heck, why am I thinking like this. I blush more when Cody told me when I was blushing. I cover my cheeks to not show him that I am blushing but he realizes that I am blushing more. He's just cool with it.

My mom always tell me before that the person you call crush is the person that you like. She said that no one will pick your crush except for you. A crush is also a person that you feel that you're meant to be, no matter the imperfections of that person that person is not as he looks like. Just like judging a book by its cover. I'm starting to understand it now, before I thought it was just a joke but it is somehow relating to my situation right now.

My mom also said that the boys that are "my type" that's what she's saying, are boys that are cool. Just going with the flow.

"Hey lovebirds." Javièr goes near us. "Nearly time, ready up."

We go back in the car and the radio is already transmitting what the guards are saying.

"Supplies are arriving in 35 minutes. Ready your asses and stop slacking off the job or you die." A russian voice says, maybe he's the boss.

"Also be careful. Lars told us that we are expecting somebody to stop us. A bunch a kids."

The guys stopped talking. I guess operation is a go then.

"That's all we need to know, let's go back to the docks and do our original plan. Kill the guards."

We run carefully and silently as possible as we can. The docks is empty but the lights are on and we see guards patrolling the area in groups of 7, now that's a lot.

"Be silent and careful. This time no fooling around and be quiet as possible." Javièr goes first and scouts for guards. It's weird that no one volunteered as the leader but he acts like one.

We were at high ground because of the cliff so we have to run all the way back down to the docks. It took a few minutes until we reached the entrance to the docks, as usual, the entrance is locked. Cody breaks t the lock with the back of his gun and we go in.

We go behind the containers one by one until we reach a group, or so we thought. We were greeted by a nasty surprise.

The group of guards that were patrolling are dead on the floor. There are bullet holes on their heads.

"What the hell?" Tyler quietly says. "There may be another group of people here guys."

"Or this is just a trap."

We continue slowly and quietly until we see another group of guards dead on the floor. We ignore it and we reach the control room of the docks. And again, as we were going there we pass dead guards. The control room is empty except for blood marks on the floor.

"Kids, your not supposed to be here." A man in a soldier outfit says. We directly point our guns towards him.

"Hey, hey!" More soldiers come out and surround us. There are only 8 of them, I think we can take them on.

"Who are you guys?" Cody points his gun at the biggest soldier.

"Seal Team 6." The soldier puts our guns down.

"What?" Javier's tone is surprised and confused. "Who sent you? Is this a trap?"

"Well first of all, we were sent by the CIA. And this is not a trap, we don't work for Laze. I think that's his name."

"His name is Lars. We are also here to help." Cody puts down his gun.

"Nu-uh. Our orders are to get you to safety and stop the shipment coming here." The soldiers put their guns down also.

"We are not stopping now." Javièr says.

"You are risking your lives and you are too young. You have so much to live for." A soldier says.

"You guys also have so much to live for."

"We are wasting time. The shipment is about to arrive in 4 minutes. We better be fast."

"Do you know a soldier with the last name of Joley?" I quickly ask before they leave.

"Joley? Oh you mean Dan Joley? Well we call him Danny. Yeah we do have why?"

"Nothing." I say. I think I have found my brother. I haven't mentioned my brother before because we are not close as a sibling. The last time I saw him is a few days before our parents died. He has joined the Special Forces Group. He has aimed to join the Seals no matter the pain. I think I have found Dan.

"Where is he?"

"Guys 2 minutes."

"He's one of the snipers camped going South. He's coming here if you want to see him later. Not right now, plus you kids need to get out of this battle. This is not yours."

I guess Javièr and Cody realized that they could do nothing so we followed what they said.

"Let's go back."

We walk away from the situation until we hear the horn of the ship. It was loud so we got shocked. But what we didn't expect is the ship was not stopping and it was still going forward. Looks like it's going to ram the docks.

"Brace for impact!" The Seal Team soldier says as he pull us down to the floor.
