I'm Ray Joley and life isn't easy if your dad is fake and your life is on the line always. Cody and I are the best of friends and I would help him and he'll help me.
I wake up and I see the roof of the car. It looks like my body stance is lying down. I sit up and I see a store. A few minutes later I see Cody coming out of the store with water and cup noodles.
"How long have I passed out?" I ask when Cody entered the car.
"About 35 minutes already."
Okay now that's not normal. There should be something that happened to me, well the sudden brake maybe made me pass out that long.
"I know you'll be conscious again sometime, but you took a long time to wake up. I think you might even slept."
"Where are we?"
"I don't know either. I have just followed the road until something happens."
"Uhh." I wipe my face with disappointment. I hoped that this was all a dream, none of this happened, also forget what Jason did to me.
"I did lose them but not kill them." I give Cody a puzzled look. "I meant the people trailing behind us. I think our only option is to follow the road first."
That's not the best idea, nor is it safe. But it's the only option that doesn't involve us getting killed.
While driving I see a bunch of houses and stores, looks like we are driving away from the city. Which is good considering we don't want Jason to know where we are. Things were going smooth until we ran out of gas.
"Well shit." Cody tries to turn on the car again but it's not working. "Looks like we're walking."
"Well where are we going? We will just walk forever until someone helps us to safety?" I say stressfully. Things are not going good already.
"Well what's your plan then smarty pants?" Cody talks back at me angrily. "Do you have a better plan?"
"Ugh!" I kick a rock out of frustration and I walk into the woods running. I hear Cody's voice calling my name but I ignore it.
I run as far as I can until my legs are burning and I can't anymore run. I think I was so deep into the woods that I don't see any lights in sight. I sit on a piece of wood and breathe to calm myself down. I burst into tears. I just want my suffering to end, I don't want any of this.
"I don't even deserve any of this." I say to myself. "I didn't do anything." I wipe my tears.
"You don't deserve this." A voice comes out of nowhere.
I quickly stand up and look at my surroundings and I don't see anybody.
"Who's out there?" I ask and still keep my guard up in case something unexpected happens.
Silence.
I hate silence. Something's not right.
I hear a stick break behind me. I quickly turn around but I see a deer sniffing the grass. I totally expected a person to ambush me. Suddenly I see three shadows come out of the darkness.
"Well, it looks like you're Ray Joley." The tallest one said.
I see the people already. The one on the right is Jason, the one on the left looks like a bodyguard while the one in the middle is the tallest among the both of them.
"Where are my manners." The one in the middle said. "I'm Lars Rolando." He bows.
Then unexpectedly he punches me right smack at my face. I was thrown back and my nose was bleeding.
"Ah! Shit!" I scream in pain.
"You think you can escape from us?" Lars says while picking me up and throwing me.
I landed roughly and my elbows got bruised up. My arm was already bleeding from the glass shard a while ago. My muscles became sore and I feel numb.
Lars picks me up and he pushes me against a tree. He punches me again.
"I want you to experience the pain me and my brother felt when your parents killed our mother." He punches me again.
Looks like Lars is Jason's older brother, and again, it's not my fault. I'm just dragged into something serious because of my parents.
I pass out when he punched me again for the third time. I shake my face and I see myself on the ground with Lars also on the ground with his eyes closed. It looks like there's a bullet hole in his head.
"Don't you dare touch her again." Jason says.
Jason goes near me. I try to get away from him but my body is so tired it is not following what I'm saying.
Jason suddenly picks me up and looks straight at my eyes.
"I don't know what to do anymore." I hear him say as soon as he closes my eyes.

I know it's short by 300+ words But it's because I have writer's block :(
