I am the priestess of a village deep in the forest. I wore a white jacket, a (F/C) nagabakama, and rice straw sandals. Everyone depended on me, when something evil came through it was my job to stop it. However not many monsters or demons came through here. It was always so tranquil, but the few times something bad came through everything was hectic. Kind of like right now. All the villagers were hiding in their homes trying to stay away from the demon who had come for the jewel shards I possessed.
"Give me the jewel shards you pathetic human!" she commanded. She had long hair that was as red as fire and yellow glowing eyes. She wore a blue long sleeve shirt that fit her almost like skin, also she wore a short black skirt. She carried a sword on her back.
"I will do no such thing." I say standing my ground as the wind picked up, blowing my (H/L) (H/C) hair out of my face revealing my (E/C) eyes. I carried a sword in my hand, a dagger hidden with in my nagabakama as well. I know it's unusual for a priestess to carry weapons, but I'm a little different. And besides Kikyo carried a bow and arrows, she was an expert archer.
"Then I will have to take them from you." she said in a sickly sweet voice. I ready my sword in front of me. The demon laughs and pulls her sword out if its sheath. She rushes forward and swings her sword straight down, I block the attack with clashing metal against metal. The demon lands on her feet in front of me with a smirk plastered on her face.
"Do you really think you stand a chance against me?" laughs the demon.
"I will do what I have to, I will not let you take these shards or hurt the people of this village." I say making the demon laugh. She swings her sword aiming for the right side of my face, I block her again and push her sword away. I strike to her left, but she jumps over me dodging my attack. I spin around just in time to see her mid air aiming straight at me, I jump and roll to the right making her strike the ground. I stand up and turn to her.
She pulls her sword out of the ground, we stand there and watch each other waiting for the other to make a move. We both charge at the same time our swords clashing together in between us as we glare at each other. The demon smiles and hold her hand up, her nails turn into claws and she scratches my arm deep enough to bring blood. I jerk back making it easy for her to knock my sword out of my hands. I pull out my dagger and stab her in the chest. She just looks at the dagger, then back at me. I stood waiting, I had no more weapons on me. She smiles and pulls the dagger out of her chest and tosses it to the side.
"Was that suppose to hurt?" she asks then swings her sword cutting the left side of my face as I fell to the ground. I covered the cut with my hand as she stood over me, she pointed her sword at me. "Give me the shards and I'll consider letting you go." she demands.
"No." I say as I see my sword out of the corner of my eye. I could reach for it and kill her.
"Fine. Have it your way." she says lifting her sword to strike me down.
"Iron reaver soul stealer!" came an all to familiar voice. In an instant the demon was cut down and I was saved. I stood up and gathered my weapons. "Hey! I just saved your life! You could show some appreciation!" he yelled while I still had my back to him. I smirk to myself.
"I had it under control. If you had given me a little more time I would've grabbed my sword and killed the demon." I say sheathing my sword and putting my dagger away.
"You were about to be killed idiot!" he yelled again. I turn and face him. I sigh.
"Thank you Inuyasha. However I hadn't expected for you to be back so soon." I say walking closer to him as his group came into view.
"Well I smelt a demon and... blood. You're bleeding." he say noticing my wounds.
"I had forgotten about these wounds, but they will heal." I say.
"Inuyasha you can't just take off like that!" Kagome scolds.
~Time Skip~
After we settle in my hut and after everyone was feed it was time to hand over the jewel shards.
"Here Kagome." I say holding out the four jewel shards I had. She looks at me in shock.
"You had four jewel shards?" she asks.
"Four small demons had them. I held onto them so I could give them to you when you passed through again." I say.
"Thank you." she says putting them away.
"I'll be right back. I'm going to get some more water to make tea." I say getting up and walking out of my hut and down to the river. I stood by the edge and stared into the water. I felt Inuyasha's presence behind me. We walked up and wrapped his arms around me.
"You could've been killed today." he says softly.
"But I wasn't. I have taken care of myself for how many years with out you Inuyasha? You do remember what I am, don't you?" I ask turning in him arms so I could see his face.
"Yes, but..."
"I'm not just a priestess Inuyasha. I'm not as fragile as Kagome. I'm part demon too. I can heal just as fast as you Inuyasha. I don't need..." I was cut of by him kissing me. I was shocked at first, but I melted into the kiss wrapping my arms around his neck. Soon we broke the kiss and stared into each others eyes.
"I know you can handle yourself, but I worry. I don't want to lose you. I love you (Y/N)." he says cupping my face.
"I love you too Inuyasha." I say as we kiss again.
