It's been almost been four months since the whole fiasco with the Earthland wizards that fought against the king. Now that Jellal is the new king things have gotten better, the city isn't fully reconstructed yet. It's a work in progress though, but everyone is getting ready for the huge halloween party happening tomorrow. I wasn't planning on going, but Mira and Wendy convinced me to go. Speaking of them I was sitting by the bar with them.
"So do you have you're costume (Y/N)?" asks Wendy.
"Uh... yeah, but... why do I have to be Thorn? You guys know I'm not that confident to be the lead." I ask.
"Oh come on (Y/N) you're beautiful and you know a certain someone is dressing up as Shaggy." says Mira making me blush. Her and Wendy both know I like Natsu, But I don't have the confidence to tell him how I feel. I always end up rambling or running away.
"Listen I know you're trying to help me, but how do you know he feels the same way?" I ask. Wendy and Mira look at each other and start giggling. "What?" I ask making them look at me.
"(Y/N) sweetie you and Natsu both are so oblivious." says Mira. I roll my eyes.
"Whatever Mira." I say as a certian pink hair, goggle wearing boy sat beside of me. I looked over at him, his face was dusted pink as was more than likely.
"H-hey (Y-y/N)." he said shyly.
"H-hey N-natsu."
"A-are you going t-to the party t-tomorrow?"
"Y-yeah. I'm dressing up a-as T-thorn, the... lead singer f-for the Hex Girls f-from Scooby-Doo." I say while fiddling with the hem of my shirt.
"C-cool. I'm g-going as S-shaggy." he says rubing the back of his head and smiling. I smile too.
"Awe!" cooed Mira and Wendy making things awkawrd between Natsu and I. We look the other way trying to hide our faces from the other.
"I-I have to go... I'll see you g-girls tomorrow to get r-ready for the party. Bye N-Natsu."
"S-see ya." he says as I get up and go back to my place.
~Time Skip to the party~
I stood off to the side near the snack table. I wasn't much of a dancer, so I stayed away from the dance floor. I watched as everyone else was having fun and dancing. I know I could pretend I'm someone else and come out of my shell, but I can't. I'm just too shy for it.
"Why aren't you out there dancing?" came a voice from beside of me. I turn my head and saw Hughes standing beside me dressed as a skeleton.
"Oh... um... I-I'm not... the best... dancer. I'd rather stay over here." I say looking at the floor. He takes my hand making me look up at him again. He smiles at me.
"I can show you a thing or two. Come on." he says leading me out to the dance floor not listening to my pleading to stay in my spot. Once we got to the floor a slow song came on. He put my hands on his shoulders then put his hands on my hips. "Now follow my lead." he says. We danced until the song ended. He cupped my cheek with his hand and stared into my eyes.
"You're so beautiful." he says causing me to blush.
"Uh... thanks."
"Do you want to got out with me sometime?" he asks.
"Like... a date?"
"Yeah. A date."
"S-sorry Hughes, b-but I... I like someone else. D-don't take it p-personaly."
"Oh. Well who's the lucky guy?" he asks making me blush even more.
"It's... Natsu." I say. Hughes smirks which makes me uncomfortable.
"W-why are you s-smirking like that?" I ask. He puts his hands on my shoulders and turns me around pushing me into someone. Their arms wrap around me to catch our fall. I look up to see Natsu is the one Hughes pushed me into. I squeak.
"S-so... y-you l-like m-me?" he asks nervously. I nod my head yes.
"I-I understand i-if you d-don't..." I was cut off by his lips crashing onto mine. I was shocked, but melted into the kiss. I cupped his face as he pulled me closer to him. I faintly heard Mira and Wendy cooing, but I couldn't care less than now. Natsu returned my feelings. I was happy.
A/N: Sorry this one was short I had no idea what to do for this one, but I got the idea from @the_anonymous_rose. So thank you for the ideas. But if I don't update for a while it's because I have a lot going on right now and I don't have time with work and everything. STRESSED!
