Juuzou isn't the only one to be the youngest member of the SCG. I'm also one of the youngest, Juuzou and I have known each other for a long time. He's more in the 'always want to attack something' mood, but is bored when he isn't fighting ghouls. Me though, I'm usually really quite around everyone. However when Juuzou and I are alone I can talk up a storm. Come to think of it have I mentioned that Juuzou and I just started dating?
No? Well Juuzou asked me out about three weeks ago. So now around the compound I talk quietly to Juuzou while holding is hand. Speaking of walking around the compound Juuzou and I are on our way to the conference room. We walk in and take a seat while the rest slowly pile in after us. Once everyone was seated the meeting started, although Juuzou and I didn't pay much attention to what was said.
"...So I want (Y/N) (L/N) and Koutarou Amon to check out these sightings." says the head of the meeting. I haven't learned everyone's names yet.
"We'll start as soon as possible." says Amon.
"Very well. That's all for now." he says. Everyone begins leaving, Juuzou and I stand up ready to leave.
"(Y/N) wait." I stop.
"I'll wait for you up front." says Juuzou, I nod me head. Juuzou kisses my cheek and walks out. I look back at Amon.
"It's could rain this afternoon and ghouls senses aren't as keen in the rain. I just wanted to see if you wanted to go when we could catch them off guard?" he asks.
"Sure." I say barely above a whisper, it was loud enough for him to hear though.
"Let's meet around one o'clock at the café near the college." he says. I nod my head and walk out. I walked down the hall and to the front doors where Juuzou was waiting for me.
"What did he want?" he asks.
"He just wanted to meet up so we could scout around for ghouls." I say while taking his hand in mine and intertwining our fingers.
"Oh." he says flatly. I smile and kiss his cheek. He starts walking and I follow along beside him. The thing about him, he doesn't care to pay attention to where he's going yet he never gets lost. It had always amazed me at how he did it. Considering if I tried to do it then I would get lost and have to call him to come find me.
Juuzou and I had finally made it back to our shared apartment. He let's go of my hand and opens the door, he walks in and over to the couch and sat down. He hasn't said anything to me the whole way home, which was strange for him. He usually talks my ear off. I close the door then walk over and sit beside him.
"Hun, what's wrong?" I asked. He turns his head away from me.
"It... it's nothing." he says. I wrap my arms around his waist and rest my chin on his shoulder.
"Somethings bothering you and it's not nothing. C'mon you can always talk to me." I say trying to get him to talk to me. He sighs and turns his head to look at me.
"I'm afraid of you going with Amon." he says with pink dusting his cheeks. There are a couple of reason I could think of that would cause him to get like this. 1) He could be worried that Amon convinces me that I don't need Juuzou and that I would leave him or 2) he could be worried that Amon wouldn't be able to protect me and I would get hurt or worse.
"Why are you afraid me going with Amon?" I ask. The blush darkens on his face.
"I don't trust Amon to protect you." he says kind of pouty. "Besides we always go on missions together. This is the first mission with someone else. Will you even be able to talk to Amon?" he asks then he goes on a 'what if' rant making me giggle. I sit straight up, cup his face in my hands and kiss him to make him shut up. Once I'm satisfied I pull away and look him in the eye.
"Hun, don't worry. I'm sure Amon can handle protecting me if I should need it." I say, he opens his mouth to say something, but I kiss him again. Not as long as the last time though, I break away and look back at him then checked the time. "I need to go meet with Amon. I'll be back." I say standing up.
"Be careful." he says. I smile at him.
"I will."
~Time Skip~
Amon and I walked around for a long time, but never found any ghouls. We decided to call it a day and try again tomorrow. As we walk back towards the café we meet at we passed an ally. As we walked in front of it we heard a scream. We stopped, then ran down the narrow ally way. A ghoul was standing over a young woman and a child. Amon and I took out our quinques. Amon hit the ghoul and knocked her away. I ran over to the woman and helped her up along with the child.
"Take the child and go." I say to her. She nods her head says her thanks. She holds the child close as she runs away. I turn back around to see the ghoul sue her kagune to throw Amon so hard against the side of the building that he passed out.
My grip tightens on my quinque as the ghoul turns to look at me. She smiles as her eyes turn into the monstrous, cold eyes that suits their kind. She charges at me, he kagune acting as whips trying to hit me. I dodge every one of her attacks though.
I jump up onto one of the fire escapes to get higher ground. Once she's underneath me I ump down ready to attack, but she grabs me with her kagune and throws me at the wall and holds me there.
"I never liked eating men. They're too tough for my taste." she says, her face getting closer as she's getting ready to take a bite. Suddenly her head is cut off, her body falls to the ground and her kagune disappears. I look up to see Juuzou.
"Before you ask. I followed you. I was worried about you and it looks I was right to be worried." he says. I walk over and hug him.
"I love you." I says nuzzling my face in his chest. He wraps his arms around me.
"I know." he says making me smile.
