It was Friday and the last bell had rang for the day. I had successfully avoided my bully and her popular group. I don't know what I did to her, but she hates me and my only friend Kira. Always calling us names and saying hurtful things. It's like she wants nothing more than to cause us pain. I stopped at my locker and put my books in it and closed it.
"Look at this girls. The skank finally came out of hiding." says Haruki. I slowly turned around and saw her with her group. They looked evil as always, glaring and smiling evilly with crossed arms. I held my notebook close to my chest.
"She's such an outcast." says one of her friends.
"Waste of space."
"Worthless."
"Unneeded."
"No one loves you." says Haruki while punching me in the face causing me to fall to the floor. My notebook slid out of my hand, I looked up and covered my left eye. I sat up on my knees and grabbed my notebook back. "You're ugly, stupid, a freak and most importantly you're a nobody." she says while pushing me back on the ground with her foot. I tried to get up, but she held me down.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing!?" came Yuki's voice. Haruki's foot was moved so I sat up on my knees again.
"Oh nothing~!" she said in a happy sing-song voice. I stood up, my legs weak. I used the lockers to help keep my balance.
"It looks like you were bullying her. I won't stand by and let you do this to her." I turn my head and look at Yuki. She had a stern look on her face and she had her arms crossed.
"Tch. So what? She's nothing, but a freak anyway." says Haruki. I saw Zero walking up behind Yuki.
"What's going on?" he asks. I could feel my cheeks heat up. I may have a small... huge crush on Zero. Although he would never feel the same as me.
"Oh Zero! These girls here are bullying this girl here." says Yuki. Zero looks at me and locks eyes with me, but I immediately look away. I start walking away slowly while still using the lockers to balance myself.
"Where do you think you're going you dumb whore?" asks Haruki. I start running, well more like stumbling while running. I ran out of the school building and out to the horse stable. I walked over to the corner and sat down. I pulled my knees to my chest and cried.
"Why me? What did I do to deserve any of this?" I ask myself before my mind started drifting.
~ In the mind~
I was standing in the middle of a crowd of the day class students. I kept turning around looking at all of them, my heart beating fast in my chest. I hated being the center of attention. Everyone started laughing at me and calling me names. I closed my eyes and covered my ears trying to stop all the voices, but it didn't help. Someone grabbed my wrists and made me look up. Zero. I was just about to say something, but then he spoke.
"You worthless, good for nothing, moron. How could you ever think I would like someone like you? It's impossible." he says making me tear up. I cover my eyes with my hands and cry as the voices keep getting louder.
"Just end it all."
"Yeah no one wants you here."
Then everything goes black.

I was brought out of my thoughts by the sound of Lily in her stable. I felt tears rolling don my cheeks. I wipe my eyes on my sleeves and stay still for a while. Once I had stopped crying I stood up and walked out of the stables and made my way towards the sun dorms. Suddenly someone appeared in front of me. I noticed they were wearing a white uniform, I look up at their face. It was Kaname.
"What are you doing out here at this time of night?" he asks.
"I-I was w-walking b-back to m-my room." I say shyly while holding my notebook close to my chest.
"Well you know it's not safe out here for someone as lovely as you." he says making me blush. "How I walk you back to the sun dorms?" he asks holding out his hand for me to take. I raise my hand out just about to take his hand until my wrist was grabbed by someone else shocking me.
"You stay away from her Kaname." came Zero's voice. I look up at Zero, my face mostly likely had turned crimson.
"You're so scary Mr. Disciplinary Committee, but that would be up to her." says Kaname while looking at me. Zero lets go of my wrist, but holds it in front of me. It's like he's protecting me.
"I won't let you touch her." growls Zero.
"It's funny I don't even know your name?"
"You don't need to know it." says Zero.
"Hm. I bet you don't even know it. Yet you act as though you've known her your whole life." says Kaname.
"I do know her name. It's (Y/N). And I will protect her no matter what." he says making me gasp. He knew my name and he wants to protect me.
"Isn't that what you would do for all the day class students though?" asks Kaname making me realize that Zero might only be protecting me because it's his duty to.
"(Y/N) is different."
"How is it any different?"
"It's different because I love her." he says making my eye go wide with shock. Zero turns to me and grabs my shoulders.
"I know you get bullied a lot (Y/N), but I swear to you that if you say you'll be mine I will make everyone stop bullying you and your friend Kira. It hurts to see you so miserable, I can't stand it any longer." he says.
"Zero." I say in complete awe. He pulls me into a hug. I gently wrap my arms around him, making him pull me closer.
"Be mine?" he asks.
"Yes." I whisper in his ear almost in tears. He loved me back. I can't believe it. My crush shares my feelings. He pulls way just enough to pull me into a kiss. My heart explodes with this new feeling, something I haven't felt in a long time. He pulls away and stares into my eyes.
"I love you."
"I love you too Zero." I say.
