~3rd pov~
You've heard about the three Princesses of Liones. Margret, Veronica and Elizabeth right? Well there is another Princess, Margaret's younger twin. She had witnesses Drefus and Hendrickson assonate Zaratras, instead of killing her as well they locked her away somewhere where no one could find her. The King had sent out search parties for her, but they all came up empty handed. They had thought that the Seven Deadly Sins had killed her as well as the grandmaster.
That is until it was revealed that the Sins were in fact the ones to kill Zaratras, but that it was Hendrickson and Drefus who had killed him. After Hendrickson was defeated the King had a vision. It was a clue as to where his long lost daughter was. The King had sent Merlin to search for her after his healing was finished. It took Merlin two days to find the missing Princess.
A festival was thrown to celebrate the return of the second Princess of Liones. Princess (Y/N). Months had passed after the return of the lost Princess, things seemed to be just fine. Even Gilthunder and Princess (Y/N) started dating. Unfortunately though Princess (Y/N) fell ill. The King and (Y/N)'s sisters became worried about her. Gilthunder especially, he truly loved her. Even before her disappearance he had fallen in love with her.
~Gilthunder's pov~
I paced back and forth outside of (Y/N)'s room waiting to hear how her condition was. Princess Margaret stood against the far wall across from the door. She had a sorrowful look on her face, as did I. I was worried. My love was sick, but I have been told to stay out her as the doctor and Merlin checked on her. They have been in there for about ten minutes now. I heard (Y/N) start coughing, making me stop pacing. My heart dropped into my stomach.
"Gilthunder..." came Margaret's forlorn voice. I looked at her through dismal eyes. "... We might have to consider the worst. You know that, right?" she said closing her eyes in an attempt as to not start crying. I don't want to think about the worst that may happen.
"She will get better Princess Margaret. We have to believe in our hearts that she will. It's all we can do at this point." I say staring to get choked up. She walked over and she placed her hand on my shoulder.
"We all hope she will get better Gilthunder, but we also have to come to accept the fact that she might not make it. We were luck to have spent as much time with her as we have these past few months." she says with a wary smile. Princess Veronica and Princess Elizabeth came up with Griamore and Meliodas.
"Have you heard anything on her condition yet?" asks Elizabeth.
"Not yet." says Margaret. Just as she said that the door opened, Merlin and the doctor walk out and close the door behind them.
"How is she?" I ask. Merlin and the doctor gives us all mournful looks.
"There's... nothing more we can do for her. I'm sorry." says the doctor. My heart felt like it was torn out of my body as I stood in shock.
"Merlin can't you do anything to help her like you helped our father?" asks Elizabeth.
"I'm sorry, but her condition has come to the point where nothing can help her. Not even your power Princess." she says with a hand on her hip. I lower my head, my hair shadows my face. Tears brim in my eyes. I'm losing her again and this time she won't come back.
"How long does she have?" asks Veronica.
"Not long. She can go in a few minutes or a few hours, I can say for certain that she won't make it through the night." says Merlin.
"Merlin is correct. You all should say your final goodbyes, but it must be two at a time." says the doctor.
"I will go inform the King so he can so his goodbyes." says Merlin.
"Elizabeth, Meliodas they two of you go first." says Margaret. They nod and walk inside. Everyone took turns going inside. Next was Veronica and Griamore. Then it was the King and Margaret. And lastly me. I walk in and see her laying in bed. I walk over and set by her side so I could see her face. Her body was pale, she had dark circles under her eyes from the lack of sleep and she looked like she hasn't eaten in a while. Her once (H/L) shining (H/C) is now lighter and her once sparkling (E/C) is now dull.
Tears brimmed my eyes just looking at her in this state. She looked up at me and weakly smiled which broke my heart even more, it possible. She laid her slender, pale hand on top of mine. It was so cold, I laid my free hand on hers to try and warm it.
"Gil..." she said, her voice sounded strained.
"(Y/N) I... I want you to know..." I start to get chocked up. Tears threatening to fall. "... I want you to know that... that I love you. I love you to the moon and back. You will..." tears build up in my eyes making it hard to see her face. "You will always have a place in my heart." I say.
"I love you too Gil. I'm sorry I can't be with you any longer, but just now that you too will always be my love. Nothing will change that." she says then starts coughing. After she calms down I lean up and kiss her one last time. When I pull away I see her smile, she places her hand on my cheek. "Don't let this discourage you from finding another woman to love. I will understand. I want you to be happy."
"You're the only one for me."
"Please... Gil promise me you'll try and move on." she pleads. I nod my head, not trusting my voice.
"Thank you." she says. Her chest stops moving and her hand goes limp.
"(Y/N). (Y/N)? (Y/N)!" I yell while tears poured down my face. I cup her face calling her name, but she doesn't respond. Her body feel like ice. I pull her body close and cry my heart out not believing that she's really gone. I rock back and forth as if this is all some kind of bad dream, but deep down I know it's not. The door opens, but I make no attempts to look to see who it is. A hand is placed on my shoulder.
"She's gone Gil." comes Meliodas's voice. He take (Y/N) out of my arms and closes her eyes then proceeds to lead me out of the room. Margaret walks over to me and hugs me as I cry. It doesn't help when everyone around you is just as upset or even more upset than you. The Princesses and the King himself were all in tears. We will not be seeing our beloved (Y/N) for a long time.
