Chapter 27

Rachel POV

I awoke to Finns arm wrapped tightly around my waist. It was things like these that made me fall for him, hard.

I looked at my watch, it was 9 am. Nicola is probably up but I don't want to leave Finns grasp.

I decide to just stay in bed, Nicola is probably sleeping after all of this hectic shit.

I hear a slight groan on my neck.

"Morning beautiful" he said nuzzling his face into my neck and kissing it.

"Good morning handsome" I said turning to face him. I kissed his cheek softly, and just seeing him smile already made my day.

Finn looked at his watch.

"You know we are in the newspaper?" He asked me

I was drinking some water at the time and nearly spat it over Finn.

At this rate I wasn't surprised.

"What are they saying now?" I asked

"Nothing really, I phoned the interviewer who writes it and told them not to put anything personal In it. Just saying that my house got robbed, that's all" he said

We heard a knock at the door, it was the nurse. I was already out of the bed so she couldn't complain.

Finn just lay there. He hated hospitals as much as me but the person who despised them was Nicola, ever since she was little. She always said to me that she hated them with a passion.

There was no words that could describe our hatred for hospitals altogether

The nurse came in and checked his ribs, like breathing and stuff. She just said he needed to rest and if he did he would get out soon.

After the nurse left he sat beside me on one of the chairs. He reached out for my hand. He held my hand so perfectly, as if his hand was supposed to hold mine, call me crazy but that's love

"Have you spoke to Nicola?" He asked me interrupting my thoughts

"No, I'm going in to see her the now." I said standing up

"I'll stay here, give you guys time to catch up" he said slightly kissing my lips

I walked into Nicolas room to find her talking to my mum.

"Hey guys" I say smiling

I sat down on the chair next to Nicolas bed.

You know for all she's been through she's still smiling. I could never do that.

"So mum, I heard you got a house here, right down the road from Finn" I say smiling

"Yes honey, we wanted to surprise you but after everything that's happened I think Nicola has told you. Are you happy?" My mother asked

"I'm more than happy mum it means I can see you" I said but then something clicked

"What about your husband?" I ask with no emotion

I could see Nicola was uncomfortable as well as me. My mother looked as if she didn't want to answer the question at all

"He's at home.....unpacking the rest of the stuff " she said looking down

I'm not letting this get in the way, they are here now and I'm going to make this work and if that's meeting this new guy then so be it
