Chapter 28

Rachel POV

I'm going to make this work, I'm not letting them get away this time. They done it once and it's definitely not happening again.

The room fell quite before Nicola told our mother to go to work and that she would be fine with me and Finn here.

Before our mother exited I asked her if i could talk to her outside.

"Rachel I'm sorry, about the marriage thing. I just didn't want to interfere with your working life" my mother said holding back her tears

I really did understand her.

"It's fine mum, once Finn and Nicola is up on their feet again I'll come and meet him, is he nice?" I asked smiling

My mothers face lit up

"He's amazing Rachel, Nicola is still adjusting to me and your fathers separation but he really tries" she says

"Well he's one lucky lad. I'll look after Nicola. Go to work" I say hugging her

"Bye honey, I'll see you later, thanks again" she says as her figure gets smaller as she exits down the hall

I was standing there happy with myself that I'm giving this guy a chance with me.

I walked into Nicolas room.

"It's nice that your giving mum a chance" she says

"Well everything is finally good so..." I trailed off

"Go and sit with Finn, I need to catch up on my sleep anyway. Tell him I said hi" Nicola said laying down on the bed carefully

"I love how you and Finn are so close." I say smiling at the thought

"Me too. He's perfect for you. Now keep it quiet in there will you" she says smiling

"Huh?" I ask confused

"Even tho he has broken ribs he could still thump you against the wall, so what I'm saying is no thumping the hospital bed against my wall" she says smiling

I stood there in awe, I've missed how dirty minded she is for a 13 year old.

"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that. Have a good sleep" I say walking towards the door

"No thumping remember, do it quietly!" She shouted as I walked out shitting the door

I walked into Finn room to see him asleep on his bed peacefully.

I walk over to him and stroked his cheek softly, I was stroking his hair lightly.

I could see he was smiling in his sleep.

He looked so peaceful and happy.

"I'm in love with you Finn Hudson" I whispered

"I'm in love with you more baby" Finn whispered

"Were you awake?" I asked smiling whilst still stroking his hair

"Yeah I was just resting my eyes, how's Nicola?" He asked smiling

"Don't get me started on her." I say remembering what she told me

"How? What did the little munchkin say?" He said grinning

"She told me to tell you not to thump the hospital bed against her wall" i say holding back the urge to laugh
