Ryder urged me up as he straightened up when I would have just been content resting my head on his shoulder and him holding me with everything he had when I was feeling so vulnerable.

As I got up and looked at him "Come on" he said and I climbed off him as he pulled me out of the car. Most of the cars that were parked here had left. There were just a few left dotted here and there.

The wind swept over me, causing me to shiver but I tried to shake it off so Ryder wouldn't notice. With our hands still connected he lead me to the bonnet of the car.

He slid onto the bonnet pulling on our hands as he sat atop it and I stood looking at him casually resting there.

"What?" I asked.

He smirked "Come on Faith, nobody from school is here. Let loose" he tapped his lap.

I looked around me and saw nobody was paying any attention to us. I turned back to Ryder and saw a playful smile on his lips. I bit my bottom lip and felt my heart beat race with excitement.

"Okay" I smiled back.

"That's my girl" my smile grew wider as I tried to climb on the bonnet and slid next to Ryder.

"Nuh uh" he shook his head.

"What?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

He tapped his lap again "I want you to lie on top of me, not on the bonnet"

This had my nerves go into overdrive. What if I was too heavy for him? What if I'm not elegant about this and end up a sloppy mess while trying to sit atop him? I slowly made my way near him "What if I hurt you while trying to lie on top of you?"

He raised an eyebrow at me "How could you hurt me?" his green eyes dancing with astonishment.

"I...what if I'm too heavy?" I looked down to the bonnet and stared intently at the cold metal I was sitting on.

Ryder tipped my chin up with his soft fingers. This was so different to when he was gripping me so roughly in the car when we were making out. But as he stared at me I tried to clear my head of these daring thoughts.

His green eyes stared at me with absolute conviction "I don't know why you think you would be heavy but you aren't Faith. And even if you were" he placed his other hand over my ferociously beating heart "that wouldn't change how I feel about you because I fell for your heart and what you are like as a person. And let me tell you, you're a fucking amazing girl" he smiled widely at me.

I was lost for words as my cheeks heated up and my heart was beating a mile a minute. I just stared at him in awe.

I slid backwards on the bonnet and lifted myself slowly dropping myself onto Ryder's lap as his hands came to wrap around me almost instantaneously like a natural reflex.

I peered up at him and kissed him on the lips for a few seconds before pulling away "Thank you" I smiled.

He smiled back "Anytime you need me, I'm there"

He leaned back and pulled me with him until his head and back were lying on the windshield and me on top of him with my back resting on his chest "You aren't close enough" he whined as he pulled me up a little further and I slid up against his body.

When my head was level with his, Ryder wrapped his arms around my bare waist and rested his cheek against mine "There" his breath sending tingles on my cheek.

"It's so beautiful, isn't it?" he asked as he stared up at the stars that looked like small shining diamonds lighting up the dark blue blanket of the night.
