CHAPTER 19: Another Mystery
*****
September 07, 2013. Saturday.
PATRICE’S POV
I looked at my phone. It’s almost six in the evening. I’m all alone, shopping. It’s Saturday and my friends are busy with something I don’t know. Anyway, I can manage. I actually bought new blouses and skirts. Right now, I’m looking for a new dress. I’m excited to show-off my new clothes to Tyrone the next time we go out on a date. Kyaaaaa~ (^/////^)
“How about that, Ma’am? It looks beautiful on you...” Sabi nung saleslady sa akin. She lets me wear lovely dress that ran down just above my knee. The dress feels so comfortable on my skin and I love how the waist fit perfectly on me, showing my curves. Its design is simple yet catchy.
“I’ll take the dress, please.” I bought it, thinking that I can use it soon for some special occasion. Hehe. Kelan kaya kami susunod na lalabas ni Tyrone? Speaking of him, it’s been a week after my parents’ Anniversary party pero hindi pa rin sya nagpapakita ulit sa akin.
“Here’s your dress, Ma’am. Thank you.” inabot sa akin nung cashier yung paper bag at kinuha ko naman iyon. All right, going back… so nag-te-text naman sa akin si Tyrone after that, but twice lang, saying that he’s fine and all… I should be worried pero parang nasanay na rin ako na bigla na lang syang mawawala at susulpot.
“Hey, wait up!! Patrice?” I looked behind me when I heard a voice calling out. Right in time, I saw Martin, Tyrone’s friend that I met on Pao and Ver’s wedding. He looks like talking to someone on his phone but then hung it up and walked closer to me. I gave him a smile.
“What a surprise! Martin, hello!” I gave him a friendly hug. He really has this friendly vibes with him kaya mabilis akong napalapit sa kanya kahit isang gabi lang kami nagkasama. He’s also smiling widely at me.
“Great, didn’t expect to see you here. Are you alone? Where’s Tyrone?” He asked, sliding the phone on his pocket and kind of looking for Tyrone around.
“Nah, I’m solo flight, shopping. Tyrone’s not with me. How about you?” I told him then showed him the paper bags that I’m carrying. I don’t see any girl or anyone with him so I assume he’s also alone. He smiled at me then put his arm on my shoulder.
“Tyrone’s a jerk. Mind if I stay with you for some time?” I was extremely pleased when he offered that! I would love a company tonight!! Maybe, talk about things, and when I say things, I meant Tyrone. Hihi. (^O^)v

“Hmmm, interesting. So he met your parents? How did it go?” we are currently dining in an Asian restaurant. Martin said he’s craving for Japanese food so he offered to treat me dinner.
“It was okay, I guess. My parents are not really ‘nice’ to start with.” I quoted the word ‘nice’ in the air. Tyrone stayed until the end of the party. It’s more like we locked ourselves up in my room—talking and joking, that’s all. When the party’s almost over, we went to my parents again and Ty respectfully gave his regards to them then say goodbye.
“Still, it’s a step up. Tyrone’s not the kind to go meet-the-parents just for a girl. Told you, he’s serious. You shouldn’t doubt him ever again.” he said then started eating out. I also do the same thing.
“I know… but you know that sooner or later, he needs to reveal his secrets to me, right?” I told him as I picked my sushi using my chopsticks and bring it to my mouth.
