Kensi's POV

Yawning, I rolled over, frowning when I realised Deeks wasn't next to me. Most mornings I would wake up to the sensation of Deeks stroking my hair, watching me sleep. Sighing, I got out of bed and stumbled sleepily into the living room. Sitting on the couch, drinking a cup of coffee was Deeks. He was shirtless, a fact that confused me. He never ever took his shirt off in my house, probably out of respect for me or something Deeksish like that. I wasn't complaining though! After spending a few moments staring at his well defined abbs, I noticed he was speaking on the phone too someone. Judging by his expression, it was something private, so I crept back into the kitchen. On the side board was a cup of coffee and three chocolate donuts. Smiling, I grabbed them and gobbled the donuts up quickly, making sure that I ate every last crumb. Slurping down the coffee, I went into my bedroom to get changed before making my way into the living room.

Deeks was still on the phone so I walked as quietly as I could, sitting down next to him. He smiled when he saw me, putting his arm around my shoulders. Old Kensi would never let him do that, Old Kensi would have kicked him and made a sarcastic remark. But at some point, I stopped doing that, at some point I decided to let him in. I still can't remember when I made that decision. But it was the best decision I've ever made.

"I know I know, you said that last time!" He moaned grumpily

"What, I can't just walk up to her and say it!"

"Yeah yeah yeah, whatever. Ok! I'll talk to them. It won't help anything," He replied, frowning deeply

"Yeah, see ya Nate," He said before hanging up. Nate? Why was he talking to Nate?

"Why hello Princess," He said cheekily, makking me giggle, before pulling me into a quick hug

"Hello to you too Detective," I replied, smiling, "How come you were talking to Nate?"

"Just catching up, you know, stuff like that," He replied awkwardly. I could tell that he was lying to me. He never was a good liar. Well, not with me anyway, obviously he could lie! He was an undercover cop!

"Right, ok," I said slowly, making sure he knew I didn't believe him

"Yeah, well, come on. We need to get to work," He says, getting up and putting his jacket on. I slip my shoes on silently, before following him outside.

"My car, I'm driving," I say, walking over to my car

"Oh no, We're taking MY car and I'M driving!" He argues, walking over to his car

"I said it first, so we're taking mine,"

"No way, we're taking my car,"

"Mine,"

"Mine,"

"Ok, ok, Rock Paper Scissors? Best of three?" I ask, knowing that we would be standing out here all day if we didn't resolve this soon

"Ok,"

"Rock, Paper, Scissors!" We both say. I strike Rock, He strikes Paper. Sighing, we go again

"Rock, Paper, Scissors!" I strike Paper, He strikes Rock. Celelbrating, we go again

"Rock, Paper, Scissors!" I strike Paper, He strikes Rock again.

"Yes! Come on, Partner, my car it is," Reluctantly, he follows me to me to my car, sighing as I turn the tecno radio station on and turn it up to full blast. since I'm driving, we get there in under ten minuites, an immpressive feat, even for me.

"Why hello Kens, hey Deeks," Callen says, smiling at us as we walk in. Deeks looks slightly preoccupied but I drop it. Whatever he was talking about with Nate must have got to him. We sit down at our desks and, since we have no case, we get on with the paperwork. After about half an hour, Deeks suddenly stands up.
