Kensi's POV

Deeks has only been gone for two weeks, but I miss him, so damn much. Sure, we've been seperated before, but we're together now, it's different. I was just getting used to sharing a bed with him, to falling aslepp next to him and waking up next to him the following morning. But that had all been washed away. Because of Granger.

Every time he dared walk in the bullpen, we ignored him. Ok ok, we were acting like a bunch of toddlers but he diserved it. If he spoke to us, we turned our backs on him and walked out. And although it was a lot of fun, walking off when he was attempting to speak to us, it wasn't enough. Hell, I wanted to kill him for what he's doing to Deeks.

See, it's not just about us being seperated, although that seriously sucks. It's about the fact that Deeks is still recovering from the Siderov case and, although he would deny it, he still isn't 100% better yet. He can't sleep unless I'm next to him and flashbacks still come frequently. Yet, Granger thinks it's a brilliant idea to send him on a deep undercover OP! What is he thinking!

"Hey Kens," Callen says, walking into the bullpen with Sam,

"Hey guys, heard anything about," I start to say,

"Deeks? No, nothing," Sam replies,

"God, what''s Granger thinking! I mean, he's fine in the field with us there, but without us! No!" I exclaim unhappily,

"I know, God, I want to kill that Son of a bitch," Callen shouts, just as Granger walks in,

"Well, your going to have to refrain from killing me for now Mr. Callen," He barks icily, glaring at us all. So, just like always, we all walk out of the bullpen, completly ignoring Granger, except for a death look from Sam. Marching up to OP's, we stop when we hear Nell and Eric talking,

"If Kensi finds out, we're ruined," We hear Eric whisper.

"Yeah, but what if Deeks finds out that we didn't tell her! Huh?" Nell replies, whispering,

"But I don't think that he is, I mean, there's no way in hell that he can't sleep without her! I mean, come on! He's a trained undercover Cop!" Eric whispers, more loudly now, so that I catch every word.

"He wouldn't risk contacting us if he could," Nell argues back,

"But if we tell Kensi, she will go and find him, try to help him, it could get her killed!" Eric explains. We all hear Nell sigh in defeat before mumbling something undecipherable and thats it. Conversation over. Just as I'm about to go in and demand infomation off them, Callen and Sam hold me back,

"No Kensi, Eric's right, Deeks will just have to hold on until we can get him out of there," Sam says,

"Guys! Deeks will get killed if he's not sleeping!" I exclaim,

"Kens, let's go and do something, instead of stay up here arguing," Callen suggests, so we all go down stairs, ignoring Granger as we sit down at our desks and start trying to locate Deeks.

Just as I was about to get up and go demand infomation from Hetty, my phone pinged,

'Fern, need to speak to you, meet me at cafe number six, don't tell th others,' Gasping, I re read it. Obviously it was from Deeks, no one else would ever call me fern. Getting up, I tugged my coat on and grabbed my gun. Callen and Sam through me a wierd look but I mutter some rubbish about going out to get lunch,

'Be there in 5' I typed back, quickly making my way out of the building, purpously shoulder barging Granger, knocking his coffee out of his hand.

"Opps," I said before running to my car and jumping in, drving at full speed to Cafe Nero. It was the sixth cafe we ever visited, thus the code name. I couldn't believe that Deeks was contacting me, it was ridicuously risky, dangerous even. So I knew that if he was contacting me, something was wrong. Seriously wrong. Parking my car a block away, just incase, I ran into the cafe. I noticed Deeks sitting at the very back, hiding behind a newspaper, sipping a cup of coffee. I quickly made my way over to him and, silently, sat down in the chair opposite him, angling myself so that I could see the entire shop through the mirror infront of me.

"What'sup?" I asked, looking over at him. When he pulled the newspaper away from his face, I gasped at the sight of him. He looked exachsted, as if he hadn't slept in weeks, which he probably hadn't. He had a cut down his left cheek and, after carful inspection, what looked like stitches on the right side of his head. In short, he was a mess.

"Hey Fern," He greeted, trying for a smile, "Like the new look?"

"Deeks, what happend?" I asked, still taking in the sight of him, wondering what the hell happend!

"Ah, you know, lack of sleep mixed with flashbacks, not a great combination when your out in the field without your partner," He drawled, taking another long sip of his coffee,

"I told Granger that this would happen!" I exclaimed. Hearing the door squeak open, I check the newcomer out in the mirror. To my dismay, I realise who it is.

Jack.

My heart sinks as I realise that he has spotted me and judging by his look, he isn't exactly here to make peace.

"Hey Kens, I'm back, and this time, your coming with me,"
