Kensi's POV
Smiling, I looked up at Deeks, taking in his apperance. It had been a very weird day, and it wasn't even lunchtime yet. I mean, my ex fiance, who had ditched me on christmas morning, had turned up at my doorstep, announced that I was his property, attempted to take me and ended up in the boot of his car, half a mile away from my home. Me and Deeks had officially started dating and we'd had a good chat with Callen and Sam. Yeah, weird day.
Deeks still looked amazing though. His soft blonde hair was a golden mess, his ocean blue eyes staring into nothingness, his tanned skinned radiating like the sun. He was wearing worn out blue jeans and a plain dark blue Tee shirt. Simple but awesome. I loved him more than anything in the world. I loved his jokes, his inapropraite comments, his laugh. I loved the way he smiled, how his faced changed when we were alone, the sound of his voice telling me he loves me. God, I love everything. I know that I'm not very good at showing him how much I loved him, or telling him, come to think about it, but I know that I don't need too. Deeks already knows how much I love him.
"Kens, let's go out for lunch, I'm starving," He says, standing up. I realise that I havn't actually got changed yet, so I nod before grabbing some clothes and hastily getting changed. I wash quickly before rushing back into the living room. Deeks smiles when he see's me. Walking towards me, he gently interwines our hands and leads me outside of my apartment. When we reach his car, he opens the door for me and I smile before getting in. This isn't new to me, he always does this. Well, when we're alone anyway.
"Where are we going anyways?" I ask curiously
"Not saying," He says happily, softly squeezing my hand, making me smile along with him.
"Okay Dokey," I say, not bothering to be angry at him. It would just ruin the mood anyway. After roughly ten minuites we pull up outside a small cafe. Parking the car, I look over at Deeks and smile when I see how exited he looks. He jumps out the car and opens the door for me, helping me out of the car. Hand in hand, we walk in to the cafe.
When I look around, I start laughing. The place is so me, so us. All the tables are in the shape of a donut, each very imprssive with the detail. The chairs are shaped to look like Twinkies, no back rest, but so awesome! Laughing, we walk over to the chocolate donut table and sit down on the twinkie chair. When I finally recover, Deeks hands me a menu and I marvel at the long list of food. They have everything! From Strawberry Lace Spagetti and Marshmellow Meatballs, to Donut and Fudge Pie. I chose the Twinkie And Rockyroad Delight, with a side of Strawberry Lace Spagetti. Deeks gets Skittles and Sausages, the sausages made out of fudge.
"Deeks! This place is amazing!" I exclaim, still not believing that this place actually exists. How come I've never been here before?
"I know! I saw it the other day and it reminded me of you so much," He says, smiling. We sit and talk for ten minutes until the food comes. The waiter lays our food down infront of us, along with our Marshmellow smoothies, and we marvel at it all. My food looks kinda like a roast dinner, but with sweets. It has marshmellows that are shaped like roast potatos, Rockyroad hollowed out to look like a Yorkshire Pudding, and Sliced Twinkie that reminds me of the sliced chicken my Dad used to cook on Christmas. The spagetti at the side is litterally a bowl of strawberry laces, so I tuck into them first, devourering them in under a minutes, setting my new personal record. Once there all gone, I gobble up the rest of my food, but not before carfully taking many pictures, half of them ending up on instagram. When I've finally finished, I look over at Deeks, who is also done, and watching me in amusment.
"Wow Deeks, this food is just, wow!" I say, smiling madly at him, loving him even more for this.
"I know! I thought it would be gross, eating sweets for lunch, but it's really cool!" He replys, smiling back at me, "So, want to order pudding?" I nod exitedly before checking out the menu. We aggree on sharing a chocolate fountain. When it comes, we laugh at the memory of yesterday, when we got one for lunch and ate it infront of Callen and Sam.
When we had used up all the chocolate, we realised that the fountain itself was cleverly made out of chocolate itself! Eating that, we start laugh again, as Deeks trys to imitate Sams face. He fails, but makes me laugh a lot in the process. After having the classic argument over who's paying, Deeks hands over the cash and we leave, Smiles permanantly implanted on our faces, almost skipping in happiness.
"We are so going back there," I remark
"Yeah, next Saturday?" He asks,
"Sounds good too me," I answer. We reach the car, Deeks opens the door for me, before getting in himself and driving off.
"I still can't believe that that place exists! It's just, I dunno, Amazing!" I stutter,
"Yeah, it is so you though! I mean, donut tables?!" He says, both us exploding into fit's of laughter a;; over again.
When we arrive back home, we slump on the couch, grab some beers and put a movie into the player. Cuddling, we watch the film in silence, just glad that we have each other. And that some crazy person invented that cafe. But mostly glad that we had each other. And just as the credits start rolling, I faintly hear Deeks whisper,
"Love you Fern,"
