No Ones POV
*Beep* *Beep* The room was silent, all except from the gentle beep of Kensis heart monitor, the one sound reminding Deeks that Kensi wasnt gone yet. That, and the soft sound of her breathing, something he knew he would never take for granted again. If she woke up. The nurses had told him not to worry, that she would be fine, but he knew it was all bullshit. She had been freakin shot on the night of the proposal, the night that was meant to be the happiest of their lives, and they where telling him not to worry. Bullshit. So day after day, for what started as a week, but soon turned into months, he sat their. Staring at his beautiful partner, not eating, not sleeping, nothing. The nurses had called the team, telling them that she had been shot. They hadn't asked any questions, much to Deek's releif, but he knew that when, if, she got better, there would be a lot of explaining. But right know, he couldn't care less, because he was too wound up on the other alternetive, the one where there was no explaining to do because she didn't wake up. So he sat their. Until one day, she did wake up.
They had been in the hospital for exactly three months, two weeks and 4 days and Deeks was staring at her face, wishing and praying that she would wake up. He leant over to softly kiss her cheek, like he did every night, when suddenly, she opened her eyes.
"Kensi! Your awake!" Deeks exclaimed, but he was greeted with blank, confused eyes.
"Um, who are you? Wheres Jack?" Kensi asked, looking around the room, confused as to why their was a complete stranger in her room. She couldn't remember much about why she was in a hospital but she knew that Jack should be there.
"Kens, don't mess around with me here," He said, staring frantically at his beautiful girlfriend, "You know Jack's dead, so why would he be here," Kensi just stared at him, confused and angry.
"What the hell are you on about? Jacks not dead! And who the hell are you and why are you in my hospital room?" She demanded. At that, Deeks stood up, tears pooling in his eyes, and went out to find a nurse. He had to know why Kensi, his Kensi, didn't have a freakin clue who he was! Wiping the tears from his eyes, he approached the nurses desk,
"Excuse me, my girlfriends awake, but she, shes got amnesia," He told her.
"Oh dear, thats not good. We hoped that this wouldn't happen. I'll come right away and see if theres anything we can do. But I'm just warning you, if there isn't, the best thing for her is that you stay paitent and keep on loving her. I understand that you had just proposed?" Deeks nodds, "Then this will be even harder, but whatever you do, stay paitiant and keep loving her. She'll remember you eventually," Deeks nodded again and followed the nurse into Kensis room.
"Hey nurse Daisy," She muttered, reading her name of her badge, "Who's this man and wheres Jack?"
"This man is your boyfriend, who proposed to you last night. I know you don't remember that but you are going to have to believe us," Nurse Daisy instructed her. Kensi just nodded and then looked at me,
"So, what did you mean when she said that Jack was dead?" She asked curiously. Deeks couldn't beleive that she had just believed the nurse that easily but then again, Nurse Daisy was like that.
"He left you on Christmas morning a few years ago and he died in a bombing attack saving a young boy. He died a hero Kens," Deeks told her carefully, not mentioning what had happened the night of that case.
"Oh," She replied, look down at her hands. Slowly she got the courage to look back up at Deeks, "So,you proposed last night? Before I got shot?"
"Um, yeah, I did," He told her nervously, hoping that this didn't get too awkward, hoping that Kensi got her memory's back soon. "By the way, you still have £50 worth of donuts and sweets in your bag from last night. We never exactly got chance to eat them," Kensis eyes lit up at the mention of Donuts,
"Your kidding me right?! You got me £50 worth of donuts! Where are they?" She asked, making Deeks chuckle. Yeah, she may not have her memories, but she sure hadn't changed, not at all. He handed her the bag and watched in amusment as she stuffed multiple donuts in her mouth, smiling like crazy.
"Well, you really havn't changed in the least," he told her, still laughing at the way she had strawberry laces hanging out of her mouth.
"By the way, if I hadn't got shot, I would have totally said yes," Kensi told him, inbetween taking massive bites out of her smartie donut.
"If you hadn't got shot?" Deeks asked, unable to stop himself.
"I would have, but at the moment I don't even know you. I'm sorry, but according to this stupid brain of mine, I'm still engaged to Jack, so you know," The look on Deeks face crushed her but there was nothing she could do. She would love to say yes to this man, she really would, but she didn't even know him, yet alone love him.
"Um, yeah, I understand, just, yeah, never mind," He stumbled. Just then, Nurse Daisy walked back in the room, neither of them had even noticed her walk out, and checked the bullet wound.
"Well, Miss Blye, you may go home but you will have to stay with someone for at least a month," She informed her,
"Um, that shouldn't be a problem, she lives with me anyway, or she basically does anyway," Deeks mentioned
"What do you mean by basically?" Kensi asked,
"Well, you still own your house, but I don't think you've acctually been their in over half a year. Most of your stuffs at mine and you sleep their every night," Deeks told her,
"Ok, well, since I don't acctually know anyone else at the moment I think its best if I stay with you, esppesially since I live with you anyway," She decied before getting out of bed and, with a lot of help from Deeks, managed to get to the plane that would take them home. As soon as they had borded their seats, Kensis head rested on Deeks shoulder and she fell asleep.
"Night princess,"
