Deeks POV

Grasping Kensi's hand, we walked into the bar. The music was booming really loud, louder than any bar I've ever been in. I feel Kensi squeezing my hand and I repeat the gesture, reasuring her that it's all going to be ok. She looks amazing tonight, if I havn't already mentioned. Kensi is wearing a black strapless dress that stops at her mid thighs. She matched it with some black heels and the overall result was AMAZING! As we walked over to get a drink, every guy turned to look at her, she was that hot. We ordered our drinks and sat down, positioning ourselves so that we could see the bad guy. We sipped our drinks in silence for a few minutes until I decided that we should make the most of this. SO you know what I did? I got up and dragged Kensi to the dance floor. I know, I know, not the smartest thing to do, but I risked it because one thing I've always wanted is to dance with Kensi as a couple. Luckily for me, she plays along and follows me to the dance floor. Placing my hands on her waist as her hands go to my neck, we dance, basking the simple pleasure that is dancing. Even though it's only been two weeks that we've been seperated, it feels like years. When this OP is over, we are so going on holiday. Well, Hetty won't give us the time off in a million years, but we're still doing something. Anything. I just want, need, to spend some time with her. I look her in the eyes and smile when I see the amount of love there. Leaning down, I place my lips right next to her ears and whisper,

"I love you Kensi, more than anything or anyone in the universe. I know that nothing I do or say will ever jusify the amount of love I have for you, but I'm going to try, each and every day. For the rest of our lives," Smiling, she kisses me. And as cliche as it sounds, I think I'm in heaven. Because right now, I'm dancing with they girl of my dreams, kissing the girl of my dreams, and being with the girl of my dreams. Because thats what she is. The girl of my dreams. And so much more. Gently, we pull away and carry on dancing, staring into each others eyes. And, although she's not said anything, I know she feels the same. And trust me when I say nothing makes me happier. We spend another wonderful moments staring into each others eyes, dancing, and being happy. But then I see someone in the background, someone watching us. And I know that this moment is going to have to end. We have work to do.

Softly alerting Kensi, I turn us around so that she can see him and we carry on dancing, not letting our eyes leave the targets. If I can't see him, she can. And vice versa. We keep this up for several minuites, making sure he doens't catch us watching him. But then he takes everything to a whole new level. He unzips his jacket and I was not expecting to see what I saw.

Strapped to him was a bomb. Suddenly everyone started to scream, running to all four corners of the earth. But none of them made it out because he pushed the bright red button that he was holding. Kensi got flung in one direction, me in another.

And then it all went black.

Kensi's POV

Slowly, I opend my eyes and sat up, my eyes adjusting to the light. I was fine as far as I could tell, nothing broken anyway. Just a few cuts and bruises. Everything around me was destroyed, some things were on fire, smoke was every where. And every where I looked people were dead.

Deeks.

Panicking, I got up and looked around, screaming his name as loud as I could. I ran over to the other side of the wreck and look for him there, kicking away bits of the broken bar, never stopping screaming his name. I suddenly catch a glimpse of his so familiar blonde hair and run over to him. My heart stops beating when I see him.

He looks dead.

Tears suddenly started clouding my vision but I pushed them back as best as I could, rushing towards him quicker, praying and hoping and praying some more that he isn't dead. I lean down to feel his pulse and to my relief I find it. I shout his name, shake him, try everything I can to try and wake him up. But his eyes remain shut. The tears come back and this time I can't stop them falling. Because I think I've lost him. Just as I've finally found him. And I don't think I can deal with losing him.

"Hey Fern," I hear him whisper and, when I see that his eyes are half open, my heart soars and I rush to hug him, first making sure that he's ok.

"Hey, you had scared for a minuite," I whispered into his ear, wrapping my arms around him. Slowly, we pulled away, the reality of the moment setting on us. Standing up, I pull Deeks onto his feet and, after he reasures me that he's ok, we go and check out the rest of the wreck. Moments later, the fire squad turn up and put out the rest of the fire. Walking over to the biggest part of the wreck, we see that the bad guy is dead so, relieved and happy that the OP is over, we head back to the car, hoping that it hasn't been wrecked by the explosion.

Hopping into the non destroyed car, we drive back to OPs, interwining our hands for reassurence. The reality of what has just heppend dawns upon us and we need the comfort. Because this isn't good. Yes, we killed the guy that we were meant to kill, and I got Deeks back safe and in one piece. But I helped, and obviously we got the bar blown up. Granger is not going to be happy...
