I had to break up the fight somehow. Both Kia and Terris were intimidating girls; I knew that from personal experience, let's call it. I knew Celeste was no match for them, with her girly tendencies and inability to actually fight back, whether with weapons or with words I don't care. "Ladies," I cleared my throat loudly, "calm down." Celeste looked grateful for the interruption, while the other two girls glared daggers at me.

Kia narrowed her violet eyes, hissing like a cat. "This is unfinished, Greenswick. You're not getting away with calling me street scum."

I frowned down at my younger cousin. "I have to admit, Celeste, that was uncalled for." Celeste pouted, and I continued staring at her, nonplussed. "Well, what are you doing here?"

She shrugged. "I dunno, your dad said I could take one of the dragons. He told me to join you guys." I pulled a face. Seriously?

Terris groaned, voicing my thoughts. "Oh, come on. You can't even manage a horse, let alone a dragon." That statement was true. I had dared Celeste to ride a horse when we were children, and if she could ride one I would have to wear a dress for the entire day. Fortunately for me, she couldn't, and I was free to stay in my blessedly male clothing.  However, unfortunately for her, I had bragged about the incident every time I could.  You and your big mouth.  Ironfang chuckled, making me roll my eyes.

Kia barked a harsh laugh. "I've never learnt how to ride a horse either, but I should be fine. After all, I can stand up on a dragon and not fall off." I shot both girls a pointed look, and Kia sighed, raising her hands in surrender. "Hey! I'm just stating facts." I huffed, giving her a light shove. I yelped as she shoved me right back, and I stumbled to the side. Gotta admit, this is hilarious. If dragons could grin, that would be Ironfang's expression as he watched me fall onto my arse.  You two are so cute it's ridiculous, and A-Starfire wants to pass on the message that she's slowly dying inside with laughter. I looked at the green fire dragon, and she was snorting fire.

"Jeez, why are you guys all ganging up on me?" I groaned, leaning on the silver dragon's tough hide as I staggered to my feet. "What happened to 'respect your elders'?" Do bear in mind that both Starfire and I are quite a few years older than you, so that makes us your seniors.  You should respect us.

Kia and Terris grinned at each other, and at that moment I knew something terrible was going to happen. "Well," began Terris, "we're ganging up on you because it's fun!" They both shouted in unison. Celeste looked disgusted by their behaviour, and Terris childishly stuck her tongue out. Starfire collapsed in a fit of laughter, puffs of smoke and fire escaping her nostrils.

Terris immediately put her tongue back into her mouth. "Let's just ignore that I did that. And Celeste? Shimmer dragons are that way."

"Thanks!" Celeste's face seemed to brighten immediately, skipping over to the direction of the shimmer dragons- oh wait. Seriously Terris? She had directed Celeste straight into a herd of fire dragons. Terris and Starfire followed from behind, the scholar deciding it was much more comfortable sitting on Starfire's warm back than walking. Starfire gave a high cry, and the fire dragons looked at her, their lips curling upwards and revealing sharp fangs.  Kia smirked, looking highly entertained.

Uh oh. This was not going to end well.  Even an idiot like me could tell. Celeste hummed to herself, seemingly unaware of where she was going. Kia snickered. "Seems like the Pink Lady has got herself stuck in quite a pickle here." Ironfang snorted in amusement. I like the nickname choice. It's quite fitting. I laughed as well.  Celeste was a lady wearing pink...
