I resisted the urge to snigger at Kia and the boys' mirrored expressions of shock and horror. Taking advantage of the moment, I grabbed Kia by the wrist, dragging her away from Cole, Dagen and the unconscious Gavin. "So, where to now, your royal psychic Highness?"
Kia shuddered. "Please don't call me that, Teresa. I'm not used to being a telepathic dragon, let alone being a telepathic dragon princess."
I laughed in her face. "Too bad, Princess." I might have had a bit too much fun teasing her and Alistair. "Do you actually know where the crown is?"
Kia shrugged. "I guess? I saw it in the palace in Alistair's mind, and Dad talked about it briefly, so perhaps they were trying to hint that the crown is buried among the ruins of the Silverran Castle."
I groaned. "So it might not be there?"
The violet eyed girl winced. "It better be. Hopefully Dad wasn't just pranking me."
I had a small flashback to a conversation I had with Gavin about the crown.
"Who knows where the crown is?" I asked.
"Me, Dagen, Cole, and one of our earth dragon friends." He responded confidently. "That's it."
"We need to make a visit to the terra dragons." I blurted, interrupting Kia's speech.
Kia stared at me with a flabbergasted expression. "What? Weren't you listening to what I was saying?"
"I was thinking."
"I was talking." She retorted. "Anyway, I said I think I could telepathically detect the crown if I tried hard enough."
"Problem is, you're not a try hard. And if you want something to be done quick, you probably ask the person with a super-fast fire dragon to get it done." I snapped. She looked at me with narrowed eyes, and I rolled my eyes. "I'm not in a particularly good mood, with you and Alistair doing your telepathic link thing. And this place is boring for a dragon city. Like honestly, the library is useless, nobody wants to spar with a mage, and Adara is off doing queenly duties. Boring."
Kia sighed, annoyed with my antics. "Fine, you can go find it first, and I'll come over by myself to look for it with you. I need to go tell them-"
"You already did. Wake up, Kiki. You can go back to Alistair and have a steamy make-out session if you want, but if not, I'm leaving. Adara!" I heard Kia snarl like a feral animal, but I ignored her. I whistled as loudly as I could- which was pretty damn loud if you remembered my water dragon mother- and a green blur materialized beside me. You called, Miss Irving?
Don't call me that. I replied in dragon-tongue, which involved lots of clicking, roaring and snarling. She laughed, before muttering.
You have a terrible human-accented dragon-tongue.
I'm a human, not a dragon! Well, technically half dragon, half human... Whatever. Let's just go. The ruins of Silverra Castle. There was a pause, and I hopped on to Adara's back. Did I say something wrong?
No-nothing. It's just, that place gives me the creeps. Well it gives Cece even bigger creeps, but still creeps. It's silver dragon territory. Silver dragons are the ones that can spend an entire day just sitting there while their consciousnesses roam the mental plain. Rumors say that their consciousnesses still haunt their ruins to this day. By consciousnesses, it's like their bodies are burnt or buried, but their minds still exist in the form of ghosts? It's kinda cool in a way, but real creepy. Adara shivered, and I almost fell off.
