Kia grinned. "You're on." Ironfang too spiralled into a nosedive, and they were plummeting towards the ground almost vertically. Terrified, Alistair screamed out an obscene word that his father definitely would not be proud of him saying. Kia simply laughed, shouting in exhilaration. They slipped past us quickly, due to his and Ironfang's extra weight. What could I say? Guys were generally heavier.
I chuckled, and Starfire shot down again, fire trickling from her mouth, the flames firing us forward. I grinned, and yelled a quick phrase. "Science triumphs all!" I lowered my head, flattening my body against Starfire's. The beautiful dragon tucked in her wings, her speed increasing by the second.
Ironfang grunted, but with no actual firepower, he simply let them plummet to the ground by the hand of gravity. Kia flattened herself against Ironfang's body, and Alistair did the same, ending up hugging Kia. She squirmed a bit in his grasp, before she relaxed slightly. You better not try anything naughty to m- Kia on top of me, Alice. Ironfang grumbled in Alistair's head. Somehow, Kia and I heard it too, and we laughed, Kia almost whacking the brunette boy in the face. I snorted, grinning.
"Can you go any faster? We're being beat by a girl who's never flown a dragon in her life!" Alistair yelled at him.
Kia scowled at him. "Don't be rude to poor Ironfang. He's trying his best already." She scolded, before petting Ironfang on the head and cooing softly. "It's okay, Ironfang. Terris is a genius, and you're doing really well."
You see. Kik- Kia has more sense than two of you. And A-Starfire is one of the fastest dragons there are in Dragon Tower. I may be stronger and have mind powers, but fire dragons are the fastest there are. Also, try not to pat me on the head next time. It makes me feel like a child. He muttered to him, but somehow, even if it was directed at Alistair, Kia and I heard it as well. I frowned. Maybe Ironfang accidentally let us hear as well. Or maybe my ring was detecting psychic intrusions and decided to automatically tune in. And what was him with slipping up with words?
"Wait, if you have mind powers-" He started.
"It's called telepathy!" I yelled from below. Stupid boys and their inability to use proper vocabulary.
"-telepathy, whatever, do other types of dragons have different abilities too?" He grumbled a bit more in my head, huffing at Alistair's ignorance. Of course. Do you think a silver dragon is only a plain old regular dragon? We all have abilities that you humans don't understand. I'm a psychic, and a telekinetic. Shimmer dragons, however useless they may seem, can be imperceptible, and their photokinetic abilities serve as excellent distractions. Fire dragons don't just have heat resistance and pyrokinesis. They also have an increased metabolism and reflexes, giving them macroscopic quantum tunneling. Earth dragons aren't just called earth dragons because they have intuitive kinetic energy redirection, they're actually terra-kinetic. And night dragons, they have electrokinesis, as well as meteorokinesis and umbrakinesis.
"That was a whole lot of words I didn't understand." Alistair grumbled.
"You don't understand, think about me." Kia complained, and soon they touched down, Starfire and I looked at them with triumphant smiles. I made a signal to her, telling her to 'not get caught out.' She frowned a bit at the gesture, and then nodded, understanding what I meant. She quickly jumped off, and as Alistair slipped off to do the same, she stuck her leg out, catching him unaware. Tripping over his feet, he yelped as he toppled onto the floor.
"By the way, I think I have a simpler less complicated and sophisticated way to explain what Ironfang here just explained. Silvers can control and read minds, as well control and move things with them. Alice, you still have to tell me where you found a silver dragon."
