15. Fear of Change

-"Aren't you going to move your ass and help us bring Daciana back?"- said Sam.

They were in the manor trying to convince Silviu to help them bring Daciana back to Lupu territory. Silviu simply averted his gaze. If it were for him, he would had looked for her and be with her already, but due to the circumstances he didn't think it was right to bring her back just yet.

-"I am talking to you, Omega"- his tone was cold.

Silviu looked at Sam directly into his eyes. That's right...all he had been ever since he became a werewolf was an Omega. He simply had some special privileges thanks to Daciana. Now that everything was going against his alfa, he had no one to save him from that reality.

-"I'm not"- Silviu finally responded. "I cannot look for her, Sam"

Sam frowned.

-"Do you also want to be considered a traitor? You know very well that as soon as that vampire took her away she is being suspected as a traitor to her own clan. If she really considers herself our Alpha, she should have stayed and make whatever change was going to do here. If she becomes a vampire, like Alexander thinks will happen, she could kill anyone and it will fall upon us because she was our Alpha."- said Sam.

Silviu averted his gaze abruptly and closed his hands into fists. Everything was always decided based on the clan's reputation but never thinking about the well being of one of their members. That's what pissed him off the most. How would they know about Daciana's situation if no one had ever told them about that mixed genes issue? If it wasn't for Dacia's return and Alexander's meddling, they would had never guessed that Daciana had the potential to become a vampire.

-"Does it bother you that much if Daciana becomes a blood sucker?"- Silviu finally spoke.

Sam tilted his head to one side and decided to listen to what the youngster had to say.

-"What if she becomes a true hybrid and makes a good bridge between vampires and wolves?"- said Silviu.

Sam frowned. He knew it was true, but didn't want to accept it. Sam, the one who had always been the temporary alpha, had fallen into total confusion and was overtaken by fear. Daciana's state was out of their hands...how could they stop her from changing into a vampire?

-"Just...get out of here"-said Sam.

Silviu was shocked.

-"I said GET OUT"- he repeated.

Silviu simply turned on his heal and walked away without looking back at Sam.

-"Gavril, I must take another blood sample! Stay still!"- Alexander ordered.

Gavril didn't want to be part of the experiment. He just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. He had enough already. His sister had vanished again and he had just met her. All he wanted to do was find his sister and help her out. He couldn't stand losing another family member. He was well aware that Dacia was okay, but he knew that she was already a vampire, but his sister...his sister was still like him and he wanted to be with her before she changed or worse. Why couldn't anyone let them live as they pleased? Since Dacia had always kept him away from the manor, he barely knew about how things worked in the clan. Of course she didn't want to bring him there or she would had lost him over to Penelope.

-"I don't want to!"- he shouted. "I don't want to be part of your experiments!"

Sam was walking their way when he found Gavril resisting Alexander's tests.

-"It's an order, half breed"- he said coldly.

Gavril turned to face Sam. He frowns. His eyes were cold and had murderous intentions...all because they had met with Sam. Sam had become his enemy ever since his sister had been called a threat. Sam walked towards him. He had a very tired expression even if he tried to remain as serious as he could. It was his job after all...he was the temporary Alpha of the clan.
