Making Her Return ||COMPLETED||

25. Tolerance

Daciana Lupu sat quietly on her bed with Sorin sitting right in front of her. The pain had gradually subdued, but it was still there, making her want to cover her whole body with the blankets and hope that Sorin would not watch her while she held back her tears. He simply plopped his hand over her head and gave her a small smile.

-"Want me to fetch ya some tea?"- he asked her sweetly.

She simply nodded and he immediately left to get it for her.

Back at Lupu Manor, Gavril and Dacia were still under house confinement. Dacia tried to keep herself calm, to convince herself that all the people that were appearing out of nowhere, were truly non existent. Gavril was sitting next to her and gently rubbed her back. He could still remember Vlad's visit. Vlad had always managed to come and go as he pleased without being noticed by the werewolves. What shocked him the most, were the news that he had given him. He had given his usual reports to Dacia and then spoke to him in private.

{FLASHBACK}

They were just standing outside of the manor. Vlad had made sure that no one had followed them so he could speak to him properly.

-"I know we do not have much time to speak, so listen carefully. You and your twin sister probably have the same generic mixture, but I assume that hers are highly stronger due to the vampire bite she received some time ago"- Vlad explained. "It's not just some 'genetic mutation', but rather something your family has had for a very long time since the time your great-grandmother. Dacia cannot keep blaming herself about everything. She is not responsible for Daciana's changes and she should be glad that she has those strong genes, other wise she would have died instead of becoming a vampire and she wouldn't have been able to raise you."

His words had been straightforward, as usual, and easy to comprehend. Gavril would have to confront Dacia and try to explain the situation to her in order to calm her down and find a way to escape the manor.

{PRESENT}

-"We need to talk"- Gavril turned around to face Dacia who sat quietly in a corner while covering her face with both hands.

With his left arm, he pulled her towards him and left it there wrapped around her shoulders. She suddenly looked at him confused. Obviously, it seemed that she had been forced back into reality. Gavril smiled sweetly and looked down at his crossed legs.

-"Have you ever thought that there might be another reason why my sister is having those weird changes and why you became a vampire?"- he began with a sweet but firm voice.

Dacia frowned in confusion. She might have thought about it, but had discarded it because she had never reached a certain conclusion to the idea.

-"Vlad is something else, I tell you"- he continued. "Maybe thanks to you the breeder issue was stopped, but I suppose that existed long before you were even born, mother"

Dacia's eyes went wide opened. She probably had never even imagined that they had been there for longer than she had imagined. Gavril took his time and explained to Dacia that apparently her mother had been the daughter of a human breeder and a vampire. By the time he had finished explaining, her eyes were unable to fit on her face.

-"So...You're telling me, that not just my husband....but also my mother was the child of a breeder?"- Dacia's shock couldn't be hidden.

She looked like a little girl that had been confessed to that Santa Claus wasn't real. Gavril waved his hands in front of her face.

-"This...I really never knew this. Who the hell knew my mother was that?!"- she looked at Gavril with her brows tightly knitted.

She placed her hands on Gavril's shoulders and forced him to look at her. Gavril was neutral, while she was completely serious about the situation.
