{Flashback}
After Dacia Lupu had awaken as a vampire, she was taken in by Vlad, the leader of the Gheata coven. Dacia was one of the hardest vampires that Vlad had dealt with for centuries. His servants would often question him why he had taken her in when she used to be a werewolf. No matter if the number of servants that doubted him increased, he'd still stay by Dacia's side and try to teach her the ways of the vampires. He had tried to lock her for some time so she wouldn't go around drinking blood uncontrollably. Now that she was on their side, she had to obey and learn their ways in order to survive.
-"Let me go! I must get my son back!"- Dacia Lupu plead to him.
Vlad knew that her son was now in Penelope's hands. He had seen what she had been capable of doing to them and he wasn't willing to lose another member of his coven for defying that obsessed woman. For such reasons, he was willing keep Dacia away from the Lupu Clan at all costs. If they found out she was alive, they would surely start a war between vampires and werewolves with Dacia Lupu being treated as a traitor for becoming a vampire. Not to mention that, this time, Penelope would make sure she stayed dead.
No matter how much Dacia begged him to take her back into Lupu territory, he wouldn't say a word to her. Vlad had always been a man who said so little, but his actions showed more than what he was capable of expressing with mere words. The stone-hearted Dracula, or so humans used to call him back in the day, but once the rumors of him saving a Lupu woman got to some closer Gheata members, they all shut their mouths.
-"Drink this, if you don't you'll die"- said Vlad as he offered her a glass filled with blood.
Dacia looked at the glass held by his colourless hand.
-"I'd rather die"- she said between her teeth.
Vlad placed the glass in a corner of the room and looked at her with cold eyes.
-"Suit yourself. Avoid drinking blood and die. That way you won't get to see your child at all, Miss Lupu"- Vlad said coldly.
Dacia stiffened as soon as she heard Vlad's emotionless words. She looked up at his eyes trying to find out if he was just trying to scare her, but she found nothing but emptynes in those dark and bottomless eyes of his. Not a hint of shine, not a hint of compassion or feelings in them.
-"Just...what are you ?"- her thoughts slipped away from her lips as she slowly dropped her shoulders.
Vlad was heading to the door when she spoke. He looked over her shoulder, his long black hair suddenly seemed like it had fluttered in the air as he shifted tilted his head to his left side to look at her shoulder. There, on his pale face, was the hint of a smirk at the corners of his lips. He opened his mouth revealing his white fangs fangs and spoke.
-"The only ally you'll ever have"- Vlad III words had taken her by surprise.
Her eyes grew wide open and she saw something different in his eyes. His factions had suddenly softened and his eyes showed a hint of sadness somewhere.
. . .
{Present}
Vlad III was leading Daciana Lupu through a secret passage. She still didn't know where they were heading, but she was willing to trust Vlad. Daciana suddenly stumbled and hit a wall.
-"Ow!"- she cried out in pain.
Vlad turned around. His torch lit up where she had stumbled. Daciana immediately gasped and braced herself as soon as she noticed what had made her stumble.
-"What the hell...!"- she shrieked.
Vlad walked towards her and pointed at the floor.
-"A hand"- he said bluntly. "It doesn't have flesh anymore, but it is still a hand. Isn't it obvious?"
