EPILOGUE

Some years later...

Lupu Manor was looking as majestic as ever. There had been a few changes outside, like the new garden in front of the manor. It seemed like they had planted roses along the way and made the manor look more lively. There were some kids running in the front yard of the manor. They were laughing as they chased after each other without any concerns for the rest of the world. Amongst the children there was a girl who had copper hair and had one green eye and one brown eye.

-"Daria! Flaviu!"- a man called out to the children.

Daria stood up and looked over her shoulder in the direction to the forest. She was wearing a white summer dress. Her hair was loose and she had been running around barefoot. The boy named Flaviu had black hair, brown eyes and had a bit more darker skin than her. You could say he was a bit tanned. Despite being called out by the man, Daria simply kept staring off the distance.

-"You sensed something too, didn't you Dari?"- said Flaviu.

Daria slowly nodded. Both of them knew that they were being observed for some time now.

-"Ah..."- Daria seemed to have noticed something. "I think I remember that scent. It's the lady that helped us when we got lost in the forest last time we went there to play"

Flaviu's eyes went wide opened. He knew what she was talking about. The time they had gotten lost in the forest, there were two individuals, a man and a woman. The woman seemed to have mismatched eyes just like Daria. She had been kind enough to help them head back to the manor without harming them at all. It was true that their parents said that not all vampires were bad, but even so the rumors of vampires being evil and completely heartless would never subdue.

-"What are you two spacing out for? Alpha Gavril is calling you both"- it was Silviu who was calling out the children.

He had let some hair grow on his face and had been sure to maintain it. Then he noticed where little Daria was staring at.

-"You curious little girl. I know you can sense her too. Don't worry, she won't harm you. She's just always watching out for you two"- he spoke softly to the two kids.

Flaviu was Silviu's son and Daria was Gavril's daughter. He rustled their hair and then added "That Daciana...meeting my kid before even coming to greet me first" while he smiled to himself.

A pair of golden eyes were glowing in the forest from one of the trees. The glow vanished and was replaced by a pair of mismatched eyes. She simply smiled to herself as she brushed her hair behind her shoulder. Someone stood beside her.

-"Daci, what did I tell you about going all by yourself? That's no fair, ya know..."- he said with his usual attitude.

She looked up at him and stuck her tongue out. He pretended to be offended and then laughed it off. It was Sorin Gheata, the vampire who had befriended Silviu some years back.  He squinted his eyes as he looked at the distance. Then his eyes went wide opened and he looked down at her.

-"Oh no. Don't tell me you're planning on going there..."- Sorin face-palmed.

-"Well, he's already a greatly admired alpha. I mean, I'm the sister of the Lupu Alpha. I can drop by whenever I want to, can't I?"- she said as she looked up at him with a mischievous smile on her face.

-"Gees...what have I turned you into. Fine, but don't go around looking for some weird mess to butt in"-

She giggled and stood up. It was none other than Daciana Lupu herself. She had been staying close for some time now and had been keeping an eye on those children as they ran close to the forest.

-"Don't worry, silly. I'm not you who goes around scaring people. I'll go straight to the 'Im your friendly neighbor' part of the story"- she said jokingly.

She would remember their meeting forever. Now that she was a vampire she didn't regret it at all, if she could stay with him, then that's all what it mattered.

Sorin placed his hands on his hips and kissed her on her head.
