Daciana ran through the forest. She kept running as fast as she could while panting uncontrollably. Her heart raced inside her chest and was beating loudly in her ears. The forest was filled with a thick cloak of fog making her blind to most of her surroundings. Branches and leaves broke beneath her feet while she ran. She looked once over her shoulder, her mismatched eyes growing wider as she noticed that her persecutor was closer. Her sight is focused forward now, but she has realized that there is someone else before her.

She suddenly stopped and had to fight in order to maintain her balance. Her white summery dress was all torn, stained with blood and covered with mud. Now she had nowhere to go, nowhere to hide. Steps began getting louder, closer to where she was. It was certain that there was something in front of her and something else behind her. Her legs began trembling and finally gave in, making her fall on the ground with a loud thud. It seemed like she had a wound on one of her ankles. The mist slowly began clearing and showed two creatures. In front of her was a majestic white wolf showing it's teeth and ready to jump at it's prey. When she slowly looked over her shoulder, she saw a faceless human that looked much like her in a way. Long ginger-ish hair, pale skin and the same dress she was wearing but not as torn and dirty as hers. Rather, it was only stained with blood. The only thing that this figure had was a mouth and vampire fangs.

Daciana looked at both of them for a while in silence while trembling in fear.

-"Time's almost up"- the vampire spoke and the wolf growled as if it were meant to be a reply.

Daciana's eyes grew wide opened as she understood the vampire's words.

. . .

Daciana's eyes snapped opened. She looked around the room and confirmed that she was still in the castle. The girl had fallen asleep while writing some letters on a desk in her chambers. She felt a soft breeze enter the room. It seemed that her windows were left opened and when she moved, a thin blanket fell on the floor. She looked up and saw Sorin looking down at her sweetly.

-"Ah...sorry for waking you up, princess"- he said apologetically.

Daciana smiled kindly at him while picking up the blanket and placing it over her shoulders. He smiled softly at her and then watched her eyes twitch for a moment. A wave of pain had rushed over her and she was doing her best to not show it. Sorin walked towards the window while remembering Silviu's words.

{FLASHBACK}

Sorin held a trail with pastries. Silviu and Daciana seemed to have finished a conversation when he entered the room. Silviu stood up and while walking past him, he placed his hand over his shoulder.

-"Imprint has always been on you"- he said before leaving him alone in the room with Daciana.

{PRESENT}

Sorin closed the window and lowered his gaze. He got reminded of that day, the day that Daciana had chosen Lucian over them. The day she had chosen his human brother over a vampire and the most lots wolf guardian he had ever met. Then again, he had failed to acknowledge that his brother had always been cold towards Daciana even when she tried to live as human as possible. The mere thought of his brother made him fill with rage.

-"Is everything alright, Sorin?"- Daciana was now worried about him.

He had been standing there in silence for a while now while making scary faces. He immediately looked at and said the world "Imprint". That's when Daciana's eyes grew wide opened and then she averted her gaze.

-"What about it?"- she asked while slowly standing up from her desk.

-"Just curious as to who the heck invented that curse"- Sorin turned around and placed his hands inside his pockets.
