Daciana Lupu was sitting on the floor next to the library door. She was staring at an empty space while her eyes kept changing colors. She wrapped her arms around her knees and laid her chin on them. After finding out about Sorin and Dacia's past, Daciana realized that she had always taken Sorin for granted. After spending so much time with him, she believed she had gotten to know him quite well, but it was all the opposite. It seemed as if she had been quite selfish and had never thought about how the ones who were helping her we're doing. She had even wished for Sorin to end with her life. Had she ever thought about how Sorin would feel after doing such a horrible thing to her? Of course she hadn't, all she wanted was to end with her 'painful' life.

. . .

Sorin finally closed the library door behind him with a sigh. He had been locked up in that room all day. Just when he was about to leave, he saw a red-haired girl asleep on the floor. Sorin's eyes widened a bit in surprise, for he didn't expect to find her there. She had rested her head over her knees and loosened her arms that were wrapped around her legs. He crouched down and peered into her sleeping face. Without waking her up, he reached his hand right hand towards her face and removed a strand of hair that had fallen over it. Sorin couldn't help it and smiled to himself as he gently picked her up between his arms.

-"This is no place for a sleeping princess"- he said in a low tone of voice while he carried her down the hall.

He didn't say a word all the way to his room. Sorin managed to open the door and then close it behind him once he was inside while still carrying sleeping Daciana. He knew that she would probably feel awkward since she had never been to his room, but he wanted to enjoy her company a bit more even if she was asleep. In addition, his room was the closest one from the library. Right in the middle of the room, was a big wooden canopy bed with red and white sheets. Sorin gently laid her down and covered her with a red blanket. He laid on his side right next to her and peered into her sleeping face. Once more, he removed a few strands of hair from her face. From time to time, Daciana would frown in her sleep and he'd place his index finger between her brows to help her relax a little. Goofy Sorin had hardened through the days after being involved with Daciana's change, but now that he was with her like that, it seemed that it his factions had softened quite a bit.

He remembered that time when he visited her for the first time and introduced himself as her friendly neighborhood. Back then he felt quite nervous. He wanted to look his best when he greeted her, wanted her to accept him even if he was a vampire. The more he looked at her, the more he thought she might be a reincarnated Dacia, but he was mistaken. Daciana was her own person and was very different to Dacia, her grandmother. Their reddish hair was probably the same and their eyes, despite having the opposite order, they were mismatched. After thinking for a while, Sorin smiled to himself. It seemed quite foolish of him to be so fond of the little mixed Alpha that now laid on his bed. He was a vampire, she was a wolf. Naturally speaking, they were supposed to be enemies, but here they were. Sorin sat up and looked at the window. He then stood up and walked towards it. It had began raining and there was some lighting illuminating the cloudy night sky from time to time.

-"If only you hadn't imprinted on my human brother..."- said Sorin underneath his breath while looking at her over his left shoulder.

Despite having a small smile on his face, his eyes looked quite sad as he looked at her and then returned his eyes to the falling rain.

. . .

Daciana Lupu sat up on the bed and stretched her arms while letting out a long yawn. She slowly opened her eyes and realized she was in another room other than hers. She immediately picked the blanket and covered herself up to her neck. Her cheeks went crimson as she took a peek underneath the blankets and realized she was still wearing the same clothes as the night day before. She blinked a few stones surprised and looked around the room. The room was clean and organized. The blanket she held between her arms was velvety and warm. She decided to stand up and look around the room. There was a night stand right next to the bed with a framed picture. Daciana's eyes grew wide opened as soon as she recognized the people in the picture. It was young Sorin with his late mother. She put the frame back in its place and turned briskly. There was no doubt that she was in Sorin's room.
