3rd POV
Daciana...
Daciana...you must choose me.
No Daciana! Choose me!
Voices kept echoing in Daciana's head while she drank some tea. She was back in Vlad's chambers making him some company while he read his usual book. She tried to keep her cool and simply placed her cup of tea on a side table near by.
-"So you met with my brother in Sorin's stead?"- she asked him calmly.
Vlad slowly nodded without looking at her. He was surely lost into his book.
-"Did he say anything?"- she asked again.
Vlad raised his sight and glanced at her.
-"Both him and Dacia are under house arrest. Your grandmother seems to be having some problems, but those were to be expected"- Vlad spoke as if it were something normal and returned to his book.
Daciana pressed her lips tight and stood up. She walked towards the vampire and closed his precious book. Vlad rolled his eyes and closed them. He placed his book down on his lap and then massaged his temples.
-"This is insane. You certainly need more time with the wolf. You've gotten too much of Sorin's habits"- he complained in a low tone of voice.
Her tail had only lasted one night and that had been a relief for both Vlad and Sorin. Daciana stood there before him waiting 'patiently' for Vlad's response.
-"Look. Remember what I showed you last time? The dark past of your grandmother? Well, she has been traumatized her whole life. She's unable to forget all what her sister caused and what's worse is that she keeps blaming herself about...almost everything that has happened ever since she was banned from Lupu territory and became one of us"- Vlad had finally given her a proper answer. "If you want to ask me if I can help in anyway, then you must know that I cannot. I've kept her here long enough to know that. She can stay calm for a certain amount of time, but once some memories are triggered she will start talking to the people of her mind and will lose sense of reality. I've seen her go through it various times. With all the honesty of the world, what she goes through is not easy, but with Gavril on her side I must say that it has helped quite a lot"
Daciana slowly sat down by Vlad's feet. Like a curious little child. The voices kept echoing in her head, begging her to choose someone, but she'd rather keep herself busy hearing about the real world. Hearing about her 'last' relatives. Vlad sighed and gently patted the girl's head. He knew that she had it rough, and despite being his natural enemy, he had sort of become fond of the girl. If he had met the girl in her early years he might have raised her just like he had raised Sorin. Innocent children involved in a world of night beasts that fought for their own ambitions and didn't care for what they'd sacrifice in order to make this ambitions a reality.
-"He said that he was glad to hear that you were doing alright. He would like it very much if you'd be there with your grandmother to help her be more at ease, but he completely understood that you couldn't go back to the manor since you were still unstable."- Vlad had finally responded to her questions.
A bright smile shone on her face. Once again, he patted her gently on the head and then gestured her to run along since he wanted to continue his peaceful reading. She immediately went back to her chair, took her cup of tea and took a long sip. Sorin was peeking through a crack in the door with Silviu who stood right behind him.
-"I have never seen Daciana being that obedient. What did your father do to her? Have you been putting some drugs in her drinks?"- Silviu pulled Sorin by the collar and interrogated him immediately.
