Daciana Lupu sat by an open window. Her hair fell upon her shoulders and down her back as she released it from the bun. The wind made her red hair dance and frame her perfectly featured face. Small pink lips tightly pressed together and mismatched eyes that were lost in the horizon before them. A low piano is heard in the background, most probably a song she remembered from time to time and would still hear it clearly inside her head when she was surrounded by pure silence. Greensleeves was the song that kept ringing in her head, in her dreams and even in her nightmares. It was as if she couldn't get rid of it no matter how hard she tried. It was like Vlad and his habit to read The Art of War at all times; something inevitable. She sat there without looking away from the nothingness as a cold tear ran down over her right cheek. Her left hand moved on its own and was placed upon her chest, just where her heart was.

Silviu watched her from afar. His eyes unable to leave her for a moment...He could sense it. Silviu Bucur could sense Daciana Lupu's condition. He stood there in silence watching her like he had always done so. In the end, he could do nothing more for her other than watch over her, he was nothing but Daciana's guardian after all. He bit his lower lip and looked up at the blue sky above. The wind made some leaves twirl around him while tears ran down his face.

Daciana had spotted him and pitied him. Even so, she could do nothing else other than accept her fate...

. . .

-"Daciana's awfully too quiet"- said Sorin as he spotted Silviu sitting outside under a tree.

-"Just...let her be"- was all that Silviu mustered up.

-"Wolfy...is there something wrong?"-

-"You haven't noticed then?"-

-"Noticed what?"-

-"Daciana doesn't have much time left, by the time it happens, I won't be able to do anything for her. My guardian duties will be over"-

He slowly stood up and looked up at the sky. Sorin averted his gaze and closed his hands tightly into fists.

-"It's because of that isn't it?"- Sorin asked feeling a little guilty. "You liked her, after all..."

Silviu looked at Sorin quite surprised. He never expected to hear such words from him. He gave a small smile and placed his hands over Sorin's shoulders.

-"It just hurts a bit to know that it had to be a pair of Gheata brothers, but I guess I don't have any other choice"- Silviu's grasp tightened. "I trust you, bloodsucker"

Sorin slowly looked up at Silviu. It seemed that he was completely serious about it. Sorin nodded and gave a small smile while he placed his left hand on Silviu's right shoulder.

. . .

That night...

Dacia Lupu was in the middle of the forest. She sat down on the ground quietly. Sam watched her every movement. Despite the fact that he didn't trust her, he knew that she was the only one who would manage to give him a chance to talk with Vlad III. The wind made the leaves dance between the branches of the trees above. Sam looked up and then felt a presence before him. He slowly looked in front of him. His extremities shaking uncontrollably and his eyes set on the vampire that stood just inches away from his face. A silent and powerful vampire known as Vlad III. He slowly managed to take a step back. Dacia Lupu got on her feet and walked towards them. Sam observed her with the corner of his eyes as if he were waiting for her to betray him. It had been foolish of him to not take reinforcements with him, for he thought that Vlad wouldn't show up personally so quickly.

-"It seems that I've finally lured you out"- Sam was the first to speak.

He tried to sound confident and brave, but Vlad knew how shocked Sam was. Without saying a word, Vlad's eyes fell upon Dacia who stood a few steps away from them.
