Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup white vegetable shortening
- scant 1/4 cup sugar
- scant 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
FILLING:
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2/3 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
2. Cream the butter, shortening, and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the remaining ingredients.
3. Roll the dough into small balls and place on the baking sheet. Flatten with a fork dipped in hot water. Bake until golden, about 20 minutes. Let cool on a baking sheet.
4. To make the filling, cream the butter until fluffy, then gradually beat in the confectioners' sugar and cocoa powder. Sandwich the cookies together in pairs with the filling.
