Chapter 12

Artemis PoV

I felt so bad for her, but somewhere in my head I felt like this was all wrong. That she was lying but the way she was looking at me and they way her eyes were tell a different story. I should tell Percy.
"Annabeth, I should tell Percy," I said and her eyes widened
"He's here?!" She shouted and I nodded and she looked down glumly.
"I'll go get him," I stood up and she grabbed my hands
"He won't listen," she muttered
"He will," I reassured her

I walked out and called Percy in his dreams, I waited for a while and then heard the most slight rustle of leaves that if I wasn't waiting for him, I would of never heard.

He jumped down and did his signature lopsided grin and my heart melted, I promised Phoebe that I would stay away from him until he proves himself. His hood wasn't up and his black hair was waving in the air.

"Hey Arty," he said
"I have someone to show you," I said grabbing his hand dragging him over to the cave. I walked in and pushed him through the gap.
"Calm down, gees, I'll go, who is it an-" he stopped and tensed. Percy darted to the exit but I blocked him. He pleaded with me but I just tried to be cold and ignore it.

I explained everything to him about what Annabeth had said to me and she looked at him so broken that it broke me but he just glared harder at her and me.
"AND YOU THINK ITS TRUE?!" He shouted and I nodded frantically, he's so scary when he's angry.
"Please, Percy, believe me," Annabeth pleaded and the angry Percy pounced upon her but she pulled a knife out.
"Believe you! Ha! You're ready to try and torture me again!" Percy spat
"No! It's defence! Percy I love you!" She screamed
"Yeah right!" He shouted
"Look in my eyes! You can see! Please!" She begged, Percy stopped and moved forward, he took her by the shoulders and looked deeply in the eyes.

Percy's PoV

I heard Phoebe's and Artemis's conversation, she wants me to stay away from Artemis well that's what I'm going to do. I looked deeply into Annabeth's eyes and discarded the other presence in the room. I was angry and so I wanted to not be angry at Annabeth nor Artemis so I did what I had to.

She stared back tears falling down her eyes. And I finally broke and I saw the two colours of grey fighting for dominance. But the lighter grey was fighting harder and it was the colour of Annabeth's eyes that I remembered.
"I'm so sorry, I will fix you," Annabeth muttered and I pulled her into a hug.

She pulled away and apologised more and more and the only way I could shut her up was by kissing her and that's exactly what I did. It was nothing like the kisses we shared before, it was nothing like Artemis's kisses, I couldn't care less anymore. My life ruined as fuck anyway, why not ruin it it more?
"HOW CAN YOU TRUST HER?!!" Artemis screeched at us, I turned and regarded her with raised eyebrow.
"Because she's telling the truth," I answered
"Urgh! APOLLO!" She shouted calling for her brother and he flashing in and I was just able to cover Annabeth's eyes.
"The hottest sun guy is here!" He exclaimed, I smiled at him and he smiled back but then regarded me hugging Annabeth and glared at her. I stared him back and he stopped but looked really confused.
"Tell him! We'll find out if it's true now!" Artemis shouted and Annabeth explained everything and Apollo furrowed his eyebrows. He stared at Annabeth and he looked at me and then Artemis.
"Sh-She's telling the tru-truth," Apollo stuttered
"See?" I said

I kissed Annabeth's forehead and pulled her tighter, I mean I still love her because I had always thought that she looked like she was being controlled but if she could fight it now then why not before? Urgh forget it just make Artemis realise that she will miss you and I know that Annabeth will find true love somewhere else.
"Percy, swear on the Styx that you won't leave me," Artemis said sadly
"Why?" I questioned
"Please," she pleaded, her puppy eyes killed me and I did so, she smirked
