Chapter 25

3rd PoV

"What's wrong with you? I was only hugging Thalia?" Percy screeched at Artemis. They were in her cabin and the rest of the hunters out at the archery range

Artemis had caught Thalia and Percy hugging. She had felt the tug of jealously at the bottom of her heart and followed it.

She had dragged Percy to her cabin and slapped him. This is what her jealousy had lead to.

"You were hugging a HUNTER!" Artemis slapped him again

Percy dodged a slap and then grabbed her arm.

"Look it's my job to protect the hunters! And if they get hurt in any type of form then it's my fault! I was trying to help her forget about the incident! I didn't get there in time and look what happen?!" Percy bellowed, he dropped Artemis's arm.

"I-I...you b-but-t." Artemis was dumbfound. She was so overcome with jealously she didn't think another second about a different reason

"Forget it. Maybe I should of taken up Chaos's offer." Percy turned away. He started to walk to the door slowly and then grabbed the handle
"You don't have to beat yourself up about it." Artemis said softly

"Why shouldn't I? I am the Guardian. I am meant to protect the hunters. And if they get hurt we'll then I'm not doing my job properly." Percy turned around and stared Artemis in the eye
"But how could they have found Thalia. She can't be tricked neither tracked so how?" Artemis rubbed her chin

"I don't know, we could try and see what they're up too?" Percy sat down on Artemis's bed.
"Percy you're a genius!" Artemis grabbed Percy's face and kissed his cheek.

She ran out the door hurriedly. Percy blushed and put a hand up to his cheek. He sighed contently and closed his eyes. She had kissed him willingly!

Percy gazed around and decided to try out some archery. He picked up and bow and some arrows.

He took his stance and shot. It hit the board. Some improvement. It was something.

Percy smiled he was in a great mood. But little did he know what else was gonna happen. He took aim again and shot. He followed that routine for a while until someone interrupted him.

"Um, excuse me, sir." Someone shouted from the other side of the range. Percy putt the stuff away and made his way to the kid.
"Hey, no need to call me sir, call me Percy." He smiled
"Oh okay," the kid jumped
"So what did you want?" Percy asked his eyes twinkling but the same glum look in them as always.

"Oh um Chiron and Lady Artemis were calling you to come to the big house." The kid ran off
Percy shook his head and walked over to the big house.

Percy trudged up the stairs and pushed the door open. Chiron motioned him over and Percy sat in a chair.

"So you called?" He asked
"Yes. Someone told me to offer you a quest." Chiron said
"May I know who?" Artemis leaned forward
"The shadow lord," I spoke

Chiron nodded and Artemis rolled her eyes. That means we need Rachel.

"Rachel?" I asked
"Right behind you! Ya went missing and when you come back don't even come and talk to me?!" Rachel shouted
"Sorry, I was bit busy." Percy said sheepishly
"Sorry doesn't cut it!" Rachel slapped him in the face.
"Why do I have to slapped so much?!" Percy groaned

"Okay besides that we need a prophecy." Chiron said
"Okay, but it's not like I can forcefully make myself give you a prophecy." Rachel said
"We have to wait, and throughout that time let's spend some time together." Percy proposed
"Lettttttt'ssssssss aaaaaggggggggooooooooo!!!!!" Rachel dragged Percy by the collar
