Chapter 9

Percy's PoV

I was in rage, how could she just kiss me and then leave?! I mean I kissed her! No well she kissed me! Urgh! I grabbed my cloak and it wrapped around me, I felt warmth deep through, I must thank Chaos for this and I stormed out of Artemis's tent. I looked around to see the hunters leaving into a clearing. I followed them, why were they going into a clearing? Did Artemis call for a meeting? Rack your brains Percy! Oh yeah wasn't I fighting Artemis? I followed them faster then stopped in my tracks.

What if I watch them for a few minutes and maybe Artemis will tell them what she's going to do. I'll do it for 15 minutes but anymore then it's cheating. I jumped onto a tree and swung myself round and further up into the trees, I willed the water molecules around me to form a small cloud. I floated over to a tree near the clearing but stayed hidden in the branches.

I saw the hunters crowding round and in the middle was Artemis pacing around Agee evident in her face but worry deeply hidden in her face and eyes. She worried about me? Wow, I mean I would worry about her too. That really hit me in my heart, I sent a ball of black fire into the air. I jumped somersaulted twice in the air and landed on my knees in a bow to Artemis.
"Get up!" She growled
"Yes Milady," I replied extremely cold yet calm, she flinched at my tone then saw my smirk and pulled herself together.
"Who's judging?" I asked, she pointed to Thalia and she waved at me, I smiled at her and waved back.
"Let's start!" She shouted
"Weapons of choice?" Thalia asked
"My bow and knives!" Artemis shouted pulling her bow out
"My swords and my trident!" I said, everyone's eyes widened, no one ever fought with a trident except Poseidon. And even his trident sometimes turned into a sword. Artemis got into her stance and I followed.
"No killing! Maiming allowed! Fight until the opponent yields! Go!" Thalia shouted

Bare with me I'm not so good at describing fight scenes😂😂

Artemis fires three arrows at me and I let my bravely on my hand turn into a sword and cut them in half stopping the arrows from penetrating me. I pulled the other sword out from the hilt of my first sword which I named ασημένιο φως or asiménio fos which is SilverLight and the second sword was called φεγγάρι του φεγγαριού or fengári tou fengarioú which is MoonWalker, and my trident which what you get when you hit the two swords together is called Φύλακας του τέλους or Fýlakas tou télo is Guardian of the End. Hey! I didn't name these weapons they had the names already on them or well they were written on them. Back to the matter in hand.

I pulled moonwalked over my head and flipped round confusing Artemis totally letting sliverlight come round and hit her on the side near her ribs. I flipped moonwalked round and jumped over the end of Artemis's bow and threw my moonwalker into the air catching it back handed. So I had one sword backhanded and the other forehanded.
Artemis and the hunters gasped.
"You can fight backhanded as well as forehanded?," she asked as the hunters stared in awe. I smirked and nodded.
"Hell yes I can, learnt in Tartarus," I said and faltered letting my guard drop and Artemis charged at me yet I was still stuck in my own world. I groaned as she flipped me over and punched me in the stomach. I launched myself over her and pulled my swords out. She fired arrows at me again and again yet I either dodged them or sliced them but I thik she had and idea of my pattern so I changed my fighting style.

Artemis fired four arrows at me and I hit them into the crowd of hunters, me being the idiot I am, turned and tried to check if they were ok.
"Did it hit one of yo-" Artemis ran at me and grabbed me by the waist and rammed me onto the floor. I waited 30 seconds to see what to do her but she was just struggling to hit me. So I grabbed her waist and shuddered then flipped us over so I was over her. She aimed a punch at me but I dodged. But then had a go at kicking me, ok I'm gonna go really hard now. I heard her curse and saw her pull out her hunting knifes out. I smirked at her and we ran at each other. I slide under trying to catch her unsurprised at it worked but she somersaulted over me. If my swords won't catch her out I'd synch them my trident surely will. If I can't do any damage to her with my swords then I'll change to my guardian. She slashed and hacked at me going for the offensive and I was getting bored playing defensive so I changed it around and when I did I saw plain fear in Artemis's eyes and faltered for a bit.
