I awoke in a bed, with Sam sitting beside me, looking deadly worried. Where on earth was I, and what had happened?!

"Billy! Thank goodness you're awake!" he smiled with relief, gently leaning down for a hug.

"S..s..Sam, where, where am I?" I whispered, confused.

"You're in hospital Billy. An accident occured. A drunk driver came hurtling towards you in his lorry. You've been asleep for the past two hours" Sam said slowly and calmly, trying not to worry me.

"What happened to the drunk driver?" I asked.

"Sentenced to prison. For life" Sam said bluntly.

"Where's Lola?" I quickly say worried, sitting up and looking around. But as I sat up, a sharp pain rushed through my left arm and I immediately began to cry.

"Shhh, it's okay Billy" Sam says, gently laying me back down. "Lola is absolutely fine, she just has a few cuts and bruises. You saved her life Billy."

"I did?" I remember pushing her away from the lorry in order to protect her.

"Yes Billy, I'm so unbelievably proud of you. You risked your own life to save someone elses. That takes courage Billy" Sam smiled, rubbing my head.

"Am I okay?" I asked, now worried.

"You've broken your arm Billy, and need stitches. The doctors will be in to put a cast on your arm and give you your stitches any moment now" Sam said calmly.

"Stitches?! Where?!"

"The wounds needing stitches are on your left eyebrow and the right side of your upper lip."

"Can't you do them Sam?" I pleaded.

"Billy, I only deal with teeth. I'm sorry buddy."

"No Sam, I can't have stitches!" I say, attempting to sit up again. Yet, I don't have enough energy. I began to breathe heavily, quickly, out of time.

"Billy, calm down buddy. Breathe nice and slowly, in and out. In and out. In and out" Sam says, calming me down.

Then, a male doctor and a female nurse entered the room with a table of materials and tools, closing the door behind them. The man was tall and bald, with nerdy glasses perched above his nose. The women, on the other hand, had long, blonde hair tied up into a neat ponytail, and was absolutely stunning. I looked up at Sam with a cheeky smile and he returned a wink.

Sam stood up and shook both their hands, introducing both himself and I, as well as also informing them he was also a doctor. A doctor of dentistry. He then took his seat back beside me and I grabbed his hand tight, to which he rubbed his thumb along my hand to comfort me.

"Hello Billy" the male doctor said. "I'm Doctor Collins, and I'll be sorting you out today. With me is Nurse Pontin, who'll be assisting me."

"Hiya" she smiled, causing me to smile back. Doctor Collins took a seat beside me on the bed, whilst Nurse Pontin stood behind him, not too close.

"Now then Billy, to start with I'm going to put a cast on your arm. It shouldn't take too long" informed Doctor Collins. And he was right. The cast was put on very quickly and didn't hurt at all, apart from when he moved my arm slightly every once in a while. The whole time I held Sam's hand with my other arm, which was very comforting. After the cast was on, a sling was placed over my shoulder and held up my arm. Once that was done, a tray of what looked like menacing tools were pulled round beside me and Doctor Collins stood up from the bed.

"Now that that's done, Billy, I'm going to sort out your stitches and you'll be free to leave" he smiled, snapping on a pair of gloves.

"Will it hurt?" I asked, beginning to get nervous again. But before Doctor Collins could speak, Sam butted in with;

"Maybe only a small pinch Billy, but you can handle it. I know you can." He smiled at me convincingly, and I knew I had to be brave. I gripped Sam's hand tight as ever and decided I would never let go.

"If you could remove the pillows your head is currently propped on that would be perfect" Doctor Collins said. Sam quickly removed the pillows for me, and to that I was flat on the bed. Doctor Collins attached a strap-on light to his forehead and began to clean my wounds with cotton wool and tissue, which stung slightly and caused me to whimper in pain. Sam stroked my hand softly, and told me all would be okay. I was so used to Sam dealing with all my procedures, that it felt so abnormal for someone else to be messing around with my face. It almost made me feel guilty for not liking Sam being my dentist! Doctor Collins then began the stitches. I felt tiny little pinches but that was all!

"Annddddd... all done" said Doctor Collins, moving away and packing up the used utensils.

"Well done Billy!" Sam praised, gently hugging me, to which I hugged him back.

"Before you leave make sure to sign out. There you'll be told how to care for the stitches. Feel free to stay as long as you need" informed Doctor Collins, as both him and Nurse Pontin headed out of the room. We thanked them. I pulled up my phone's camera to see how they looked...

"They're hideous Sam. So black and bulky" I sighed, examing myself through my phone.

"You look fine Billy, don't worry."

Yet, as I was looking through my phone, I noticed something peculiar.

"SAM" I shout, quickly looking up at him. He jumped in fright and quickly came close, filled with concern. "Sam! There's a huge chip in my front tooth!" I cried, pointing to my mouth, tears beginning to roll down my cheeks.

"Shhhh... shhhhh... Billy, it's okay alright" Sam comforted, rubbing my forehead.

"It's not alright Sam! Not alright at all!" I cry even more, sobbing into my only available hand.

"I noticed it earlier Billy, but I wanted to get everything else sorted before I told you."

"But Sam! What am I going to do?!" I sobbed even more.

"Buddy, it's okay. Calm down, okay? I think you're forgetting that I'm a denstist. I can fix it buddy, okay?"

"Alright Sam" I sob even more.

"Now come on Billy, let's head home."
