AN- Hey guys it's been a while. I hope some of you are still around to read this next chapter! This book is very dear to my heart, and to see it end would be upsetting. I hope to continue it for a little while longer!
"Morning Billy" Sam whispered, giving me a little shake to wake me up. "It's time to get up, we need to be at the office in an hour's time."
"What time is it" I groaned, covering my face with the duvet.
"It's 6:30" Sam answered. "I'll be back in 10 minutes. You better be up" he warned, leaving my room and closing the door behind him.
I knew for sure that if I didn't get up and out of bed the time Sam returned, it would put him in a bad mood for the rest of the day, and I really didn't want that with the events that were occurring today. I needed him to be as happy as a Sam could be!
So I made sure to get out of bed promptly, and got ready as quickly as I could. I felt nervous for the day ahead, yet knowing I was going to be one-hundred and fifty pounds richer by the end of the day made it seem more comprehendible.
I pulled on a black striped hooded jumper and some jeans, gelled my curls to the side, then headed downstairs to meet Sam for breakfast.
Sam was dressed in a light blue shirt, with a black bow tie... an attire I had never seen him in before."What's with the bow tie?" I asked, as I sat down to eat the blueberry pancakes that Sam had prepared for me.
Sam smiled and adjusted his bow tie in front of me. "I'm just trying out something new. Does it look okay?"
"Yes, it looks good" I told him. "It's very fancy."
"I suppose today is a day I want to make a good impression to the applicants. I want to show them that we mean business" he said triumphantly, tucking in his shirt into his black skinny jeans. "My outfit is smart yet casual, I'm really a big fan of it" he beamed.
I could tell Sam would happily talk about his outfit for hours, so I decided not to continue the conversation any longer. After finishing my pancakes, I headed into the bathroom to brush my teeth, yet I was suspiciously followed by Sam."What are you doing?" I asked, turning around to face him as I grabbed my toothbrush.
"I'm going to brush your teeth for you, to ensure they're cleaned properly" he told me.
I furrowed my eyebrows at him, and he continued to look at me, waiting for me to hand over the toothbrush.
"I'm capable of brushing my teeth Sam" I said as I turned my back to him and squeezed some toothpaste onto the brush. "Thanks though."
I quickly ran some water over the bristles of my toothbrush, yet before they made contact with my teeth, the brush was snatched from my hands."Sit on the counter Billy" Sam instructed, holding my toothbrush.
"Are you for real?" I groaned, rolling my eyes at him.
He nodded his head in rapid succession, so I took a seat on the counter just as he instructed and opened my mouth. He gently held my chin to support my head, then carefully began brushing my teeth, paying very close attention to what he was doing. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt like I thought it would. I could tell he was using more pressure than I normally did when I brushed my teeth myself, but I was okay with it. After two minutes were up, I spat in the sink and rinsed out my mouth, then Sam and I headed to the office.
When we arrived at the office, Jasmine was already there sitting at the front desk. Sam seemed awfully pleased to see her, and even placed a small kiss on her forehead which took me by surprise. I pretended I didn't see it, but I knew I wouldn't be able to forget it that quickly. Were they dating? I didn't even know!
"Hi Billy" Jasmine said, cheerily. "How are you, sweetheart?"
I faintly smiled at her. "I'm well thank you Jasmine" I replied. "Did you enjoy your weekend away?"
