I had no energy. I didn't want to do anything. My head felt like it was spinning round and round, I felt sick. I fished for my phone in my pocket and began playing a game, yet it was too tiring. I just needed to rest and actually do what Sam said for once. I sent a text to Jasmine;
B: 'Hi Jasmine. Can you please come and lower the chair for me? I want to rest, I don't feel well.'
J: 'Do you have gauze in your mouth?'
B: 'Yes'
J: 'In that case, unfortunately you need to sit upright in the chair, sorry Billy'
B: 'Why?'
J: 'Incase you choke'
B: 'Please Jasmine, I really don't feel well at all'
J: 'I'll be there in a minute'

And within a minute, Jasmine had entered the room.

"What seems to be the problem, Billy? Do you feel sick?" she asked me. I nodded my head. "Do you have a headache?" ... I nodded my head. "Do you seriously feel like you might throw up?"

"Yes!" I mumbled through the gauze.

Jasmine quickly took some gloves from the side counter and pulled them on.

"Open up please, my lovely" she sweetly asked.
Jasmine removed all of the gauze from my mouth and chucked it away. She took a quick glance into my mouth, then lowered the chair.

"I'll rinse the blood from your mouth quickly, then you won't need any more gauze" she explained.
Jasmine grabbed both the water spray and the suction, and rinsed out my mouth for me, just as Sam was going to do. Afterwards, she sat the chair up and allowed me to rinse my mouth out myself and spit into the sink.

"I need to get back to work unfortunately Billy, otherwise I'd stay here and make sure you're okay. Here, keep hold of this incase you feel the need to throw up" she's said, passing me a bowl. "If you desperately need me, text me again, okay sweetheart?"

"So can you lower the chair now?" I asked her softly.

Jasmine lowered the chair for me, yet not all the way so it wasn't yet level to the ground. She then hastily left the room, leaving the door open slightly behind her. I closed my eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep, attempting to relieve myself of the aching pain inside my mouth.
About an hour later, I was awoken by someone gently tapping me on my shoulder. I reluctantly opened my eyes and was faced with Sam looking down at me calmly.

"Hey Billy" he whispered. "It's time to go home now. How are you feeling?"

"Not good" I answered, trying to sit myself up in the chair.

"Here, don't hassle yourself" he said, as he pushed a button which caused the chair to return upright. "Jasmine told me she removed your gauze and rinsed our your mouth, so you're all set to go" he smiled.

I carefully raised myself up from the chair and Sam wrapped his arm around me. We walked out of the room and into the waiting room together, where there were patients waiting nervously for appointments with Adam. Sam said a chirpy goodbye to Jasmine who was sitting at the reception desk and I gave her a half-hearted wave, then the both of us hopped into Sam's car. Sam switched on the ignition, and then began the drive home.

"I've cancelled the rest of my appointments for today so I can stay at home and make sure you're okay" Sam informed me. "Are you still not feeling good?" he asked, with concern in his eyes.

"My head really hurts and my mouth aches" I admitted, sinking into the car seat and resting my head against the window.

"Okay buddy, well you can rest or do whatever you like when we get home" Sam replied, quickly rubbing the curls on the top of my head then returning his hand back to the steering wheel.

The two of us sat in silence for a while. I watched the trees rush by out of the window, and the mellow clouds dance slowly yet freely through the crisp, blue sky. I turned my attention to Sam and watched him concentrate as he drove down the road. His vision stayed focused. He looked concentrated and relaxed.
Once we finally arrived back home after a tiresome car journey where I'd almost fallen asleep plenty of times, the time was 3:10 in the afternoon. Sam and I walked into the house and Sam locked up behind us.

"Should we watch a movie?" I asked Sam, as he hung up his jacket and pulled off his shoes. "How about Harry Potter... the first film. We both like that one! We can sit in the living room together. And maybe I could have some ice-cream, to help with the pain in my mouth."

"I have a bit of work to do buddy, but maybe later, okay?" he replied, a faint smile covering his face.

"What sort of work? You're staying here, right?" I asked inquisitively. I followed Sam into the kitchen waiting for him to answer my question.

"Patient treatment plans, Billy. On my laptop" Sam responded, picking up an apple from the fruit bowl and taking a clean bite with his pristine teeth.

"Can you do your work whilst watching a movie with me?" I asked, looking up at Sam with faith in my eyes.

He looked down at me and a smirk arose from one corner of his mouth. "Okay, if you insist" he sniggered slightly. "I'll be through in five minutes."

I quickly gave Sam a tight hug around his waist, then headed upstairs to change into some more comfy attire. I pulled out an oversized hoodie from my wardrobe and pulled it over my head, yet something didn't seem right. My room looked bare. More bare than it did yesterday. I stared, confused for a couple of seconds. But then it hit me. Kyle's stuff! It was gone! How had I not noticed this when I woke up this morning? The air bed still remained, blown up on the floor, but that was all. Without a second thought, I rushed down the stairs, almost tripping over my own two feet, and searched for Sam. Once I finally located his whereabouts, I noticed he was in the middle of a phone call. But there was no time to wait, I needed answers as soon as possible.

"Sam!" I harshly muttered under my breath, just enough for him to hear me.

Sam continued his phone call and held out his index finger in front of me, telling me to wait.

"Sam!" I muttered again.

Sam held out his finger again and mouthed 'one minute'.

"But Sam..." I said out loud this time.

Sam shot me a rigorous look, his deep brown eyes wide, staring at me fiercely. 'Wait' he mouthed sternly.

I laid down in the middle of the doorway and rested my head on the floor, waiting for Sam to eventually finish his phone call. After about two minutes he finally hung up.

"Billy, please don't interrupt me whilst I'm on the phone again. That was a call to one of my patient's parents and was very important."

I completely dismissed what Sam had just said and quickly scooped myself up off the floor in the matter of half a second.

"Sam! All of Kyle's stuff! They've all gone!"

Sam didn't respond to me straight away. He looked down at his feet, then let out a small sigh.

"Kyle has gone back to the orphanage. He woke me up early this morning to tell me he wanted to go back. I took all of his belongings for him when I took him back this morning whilst you were still sleeping. I'm surprised you didn't realise they were gone."

"But why? Why did he want to leave?" I asked, pain in my voice.

"I don't know bud. He's been in the orphanage for so long, perhaps he didn't like the change."

"I was so excited to have him as my brother, Sam" I said, as a single tear rolled down my cheek.

"I know mate" Sam replied, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "You'll still see him at school, not all is lost. Now come on, let's go watch that movie... and eat some ice-cream."
