"Billy, you need to tell me what's happened! You're obviously in the wrong because you shouldn't of been outside in the first place. But you're lucky I'm not focusing on that right now. Who hurt you?" Sam's eyes were scaring me. They were filled with pure anger.
I told him everything about me sneaking out and going to Lola's, where we kissed and how her dad had attacked me.
"Scum! Absolute scum!" Sam shouted, as he slammed his fist down onto the table.
"Sam. It's not that bad" I whispered.
He turned his head to me and stared deeply into my soul.
"Explain to me Billy, how is it not that bad? Have you seen your face! What sort of horrible inhuman adult would do that to a thirteen year old boy? To my younger brother!"
I didn't answer him. I just stared down into my knees, thinking over everything that had happened. I was covered in mud and my clothes were still soaking wet. My face was pounding with pain and I'd probably just lost my girlfriend. It felt like things couldn't be worse.
Sam picked up his phone and began calling someone. "Hello? I need you to come over. To look after the boys. Yes, it's Kyle's first night here. I'll explain later but please just be quick. Thanks. Bye."
"Who was that?" I asked.
"Jasmine. She's going to come look after you and Kyle whilst I deal with this mess."
"Sam! No!" I shouted. "I don't want you to get hurt. Please Sam!" I began to cry.
"Billy, I'm doing this because I love you, okay?"
"No Sam! You're doing this because you're angry and want revenge!" I shouted whilst trying to tackle my tears.
I jumped down from the kitchen counter and flung myself onto Sam, attempting to tackle him down to the floor. It was no use, he was too strong. He wrapped his arms tightly around my chest and held me still whilst I sobbed. He pulled me into a tight hug and stroked the back of my head."We can't let him get away with hurting you" Sam whispered.
I sobbed a little more then nodded my head in defeat. Sam instructed me to go take a shower and change into some dry, clean clothes. I headed into my bedroom to retrieve my required items and was faced with Kyle who was sitting on the floor reading a book.
"Billy, what on earth has happened?" he asked quickly, standing up next to me.
"I'll tell you later" I sighed. "I just need to shower."
Kyle agreed and allowed me to leave for the bathroom.
Once I was all cleaned up and changed into some warm, fresh pyjamas, I stumbled down the stairs and into the living room, where Jasmine was seated on the sofa."Jasmine, where's Sam?" I quickly asked.
She turned around to look at me, and her face was full of worry. She quickly jumped up from the sofa and pulled me into a super warm hug.
"Sweetheart, please tell me what's happened. Your face is all beaten up! Sam didn't explain, when I arrived he left instantly."
"He's gone? He's gone?!" I interrupted, beginning to worry. "Jasmine, you shouldn't of let him go!!"
I turned around in an attempt to return back upstairs, but Jasmine gently grabbed my wrist and pulled me close towards her. I swung my first and punched her arm. She pulled me in to a tight hug and sat down with me on the sofa.
"Honey, calm down" she whispered, stroking my forehead. I cried deeply into her shoulder, struggling for breath. "It's okay Billy, I'm here for you. Tell me, what's happened?"
