Chapter 15- Confusion and Rage

Matthew was worried about Cassandra, she really seems to have had a little too much to drink but he doubts that she would faint or feel dizzy and drop the glass of wine.

After she took Cassandra back to her room, she seems perfectly normal and was actually angry at him for taking her back. She didn’t see it outright but he felt she was mad at him for pulling her out of the party.

He remembered the earlier conversation they had before the party. They agreed to meet an hour early before the party. They met at the bar of the hotel and there she seem to be quizzing him about Erik and Roan, what he feels about Roan, if he thinks Roan is beautiful etc. He was honest with his answers and he did say he was in fact attracted to Roan and that he thought Erik was indeed lucky to marry her. Of which, when Cassandra heard his opinion she seem to lighten up and giddy with excitement. She didn’t fully explain to him why she was asking him a lot of questions .

They knew of each other back in New York and he knew she was Erik’s ex-fling before that’s why he was surprised that she was in his engagement party.

She also asked him if Roan was single and there is no Erik in her life – if it was possible for him to court Roan, to which of course he said yes.

She seemed please with his answers and he didn’t think much of it, he thought she just wanted to have a conversation.

He took his clothes off, went under the blanket and plunge himself to bed. He wanted to take a shower but was too lazy to do it.

He imagined Roan’s face, she looked absolutely gorgeous tonight. She was classy and sexy – of both she seem to be unaware of. It took a lot of his self- control not to look at her too much. His gazes might give him away. He didn’t want to ruin their night.

She looks so smittenly in love with Erik. He cursed…he tried to close his eyes and sleep…but couldn’t. He got up and went to the shower. He needed a hot shower, badly.

After the shower he took the small bottle of vodka and drank it straight. He got dressed and went out of his room and decided to go to the beach and take a walk.

Cassandra’s Rage

Cassandra was fuming with anger – towards Roan, towards Matthew for getting in the way. Erik almost fell for her plot with Roan’s hesitant nod to help her.

“She’s really an idiot. Very gullible.” she smirked.

At least she ruined their moment – she may have not ruined the whole evening but she took that moment they were sharing back at the dance floor. She smiled.

Soon everything will fall into place, she promised herself.

“I’m just starting Roan, wait and see…you will soon see the real Cassandra. And Erik…you’ll be mine again, I promise.”

She laughed out loud, her eyes the look of pure evil.
