Chapter 26 - New Life in Paris

Roan decided to try her luck in Paris. She went there to take time away from it all. She was to take a course on French cuisine. That was one of her dreams, to be a chef. She also wanted to learn how to make pastries.

She wants to leave everything behind. Her heartache. Her past. She wanted to start on a clean slate.

After A Year: In Paris.

While Roan enrolled in a French cuisine course she was discovered by a French modeling agency and asked her to try her hand on modeling. With her physique and exotic look, Roan decided to come out of her shell and try it, just for fun.

She was featured as one of the models for a local fashion show which showcases up and coming French designers.

They loved Roan and saw her potential so they offered her for a total make over and signed her up as one of the models to be featured in the upcoming Fashion Week in Paris.

Roan temporarily holds off her French cooking lessons and enjoying the newly found self-confidence.

She thought it would be so fun and it was – and she is both getting a taste of the fashion industry plus getting her etiquette lesson 101 on socializing, fashion and design too.

She was learning fast. She is starting to make a name for herself, after the French Fashion Week – she got invited to be featured as one of the models in the New York Fashion Week – it has been a year since all the scandal in the Philippines.

Roan knew Erik went to New York and she was a bit nervous of the possibility that she will cross paths with Erik again. Her almost husband then.

Roan changed, she totally kicked her old self and now she looks sophisticated, well dressed always and talks with class – not that she doesn't have class then, but she can now mingle with high society people without feeling inferior. She gained confidence although deep inside her lies the old Roan, simple and real.

It's still her – just much better and more clever. She promised herself no one can put her down anymore, no one can take anything away from her. She is out now and she is out to play good - and win.
