Chapter 22 - Roan's In Trouble

Meanwhile, Roan is ready. Erik bought her a white off-shoulder dress. It was nice and simple and fits her perfectly.

She just put on a little bit of makeup and let her long hair loose.

She looked at herself in the mirror, contented with what she is seeing forced a smile and held the engagement ring Erik gave her.

Soon she will also be wearing a wedding ring. How can she hide it from her parents of she is already wearing a wedding ring – Erik said just hide it when she goes home.

Roan is in a hotel checked in while waiting for Amanda to pick her up.

She said she will pick up Erik first bring him to the location where they are to get married and then she will pick her up after.

She heard a knock on her door. She peeks and saw it was Amanda.

She opened it, but was surprised when she saw that behind Amanda is a masked guy and a gun is pointed at her.

Amanda look scared and with a silent pleading look as if to say sorry.  

She was about to close the door but there was another guy that she didn’t see. The other guy grabbed her wrist and asked her to go inside.  

“Sorry Roan, I didn’t have a choice or they’ll kill me.” Amanda said.  

“That’s ok Amanda. Ano bang gusto nyo. Sabihin nyo na.” she tried to appear calm.  

“Huwag kang maingay! Baka magulat ako at maiputok ko to sa inyong dalawa.” the guy holding the gun against Amanda said.

Roan saw that the guy’s hand has a tattoo on the inside of his left wrist – initials C.R. She tried to memorize it, just in case.

  She tried to remain calm even though she was really scared.   She doesn’t know what they want, they won’t say anything.

  After a while, the one who seem in-charge got a phone call.   He moved a little away from them, and he answered whispering.   He was nodding and then was looking at them.

The call was short.   He went back and asked the other guy to watch her, he said he will take Amanda.

  “O bantayan mo yang mabuti. Yong sinabi ko sayo kanina ha. O sige at may lakad pa kami nitong isa.”  

The other guy who seem nice and quiet just nodded. He is not that tall, but with good built and is holding a gun too.

 After they left, he asked her to sit still and puts a rope around her wrist and feet.   She didn’t budge. There’s no reason for her to give him the satisfaction of seeing her weak.

She will try to see if she can have another way to get out of her predicament.   He isn’t saying a word to her. He was just seated at the chair with his gun pointed at her, while she is sitting on her bed.

 “Kuya, magkano binayad sayo ng kung sinuman ang may pakana nito.”   

She didn’t get any response.

“Pag pinakawalan mo ako promise dodoblehin ko yong binayad sayo .”

  She doesn’t know why she is trying to talk to him but she can’t see any other way out of it, she can’t think of anyone who will do this to her..  

She was trying to figure out who in his or her mind would do such a thing. Especially on her wedding day. It was only her and Erik plus Amanda.

So whoever it is knew about their plans and isn’t about to make their wedding come true.  

She thought of……..but then she suddenly felt dizzy and fell back on her bed.
