Chapter 25 - Separate Ways

Erik called Amanda and asked her to cancel their wedding planning until further notice.

He trusts Roan but it seems like fate doesn’t want them to be together.

He refused to believe Roan could do such thing – be in bed with another one when she was supposed to be with her that night.

He knew Cassandra was up to her little tricks but how can he explain Roan in her condo with Matthew.

He took out the envelope that Cassandra gave him a while ago.

With the chaos a while back, he puts the envelope in his pocket and he just now realized he has it after trying to take off his clothes, it fell off from his pocket.

He just wants to take a break from all this.

He tried to call Roan’s phone again.

He can’t talk to her in person right now.

Looking at the photos one by one, he felt his blood pressure going up again.  

“Cassandra …Cassandra.” he was saying it out loud.   He wants to twist her little neck until she gasps for air, that’s what he feels like doing to her sometimes.   Roan still didn’t pick up her phone. He left a message instead.  

“With everything else happening right now, I want to think things over Roan. I decided to go back to the States indefinitely.” and he clicked the end button to stop recording.

 Roan was charging her phone, she was now back at their house in Caloocan.  

She badly wanted to talk to Erik but her phone’s battery died. She wants to see him and explain to him.  If she needed to kneel in front of him she will do it. She doesn’t care anymore! She wants to clear her name and take the doubt off his mind.  

  She just hung up the phone when it rang again- she picked it up. It was a guy’s name – he was asking if I got a package.  

  I got a little excited and thought maybe it was from Erik.   It was a box of chocolates – it wasn’t from Erik. With it are photos.  

Roan was sifting through the pictures.   She felt a pang of jealousy. She wanted to trust Erik, too but she thought it would be best for them to separate ways – for now.

If they are meant for each other – then it’s well and good, if not she can try to make everything right.  

Roan silently cried and asked God’s guidance to be accepting and forgiving.  

It was Roan and Matthew on the front page of a famous blog, local Philippine newspapers and international news, Erik being the Philippine President's son, even the international public was made aware of this.  

They were the trending topic on twitter and Facebook. Some sided with Roan, some continued to humiliate her, Erik was the victim.
