Chapter 32 - The Day of the Fashion Show

Roan woke up early. She got used to waking up early the day of a fashion show.

She got up, stretched a little and brushed her teeth. She took a quick shower and she had a call time for final fitting at 9AM.

It was just 7:30 in the morning.

After taking a shower she called room service for her breakfast.

She’s having mixed fruits, blueberry yogurt and a slice of whole wheat toasted bread and black coffee.

After eating breakfast, she puts on a sweatshirt over her tank top and jogging pants.

She didn’t need to be glamorous for the fitting. The show is starting at 2pm.

She just took a leisurely walk toward the location. It was just a couple of blocks away from where she is staying. It was Monique Lhuiller’s place.

It only took about 45 minutes for her to finish, Kate, the stylist (Erik’s friend) was there to show her everything else she is wearing, the look, shoes and accessories.  

She was funny and professional at the same time. She just learned that she is gay and so her initial thought of Erik and her being an item vanished away.  

She was kinda talkative and seem to indirectly tease her about Erik, to which she just smiled as a response. Kate didn’t force it though. But Roan can tell she knew something.

 After they finished, Roan went back to her hotel. Kate told her she will pick her up for the show. She nodded and headed back to her hotel.  

She just wants the show to be done, so she can enjoy her stay and start being a tourist.   Back at her hotel, she watched a little TV and was flipping the channel when she saw that the fashion show today is on the news.

Some of the models were being interviewed.   One of them was Cassandra.    

Roan smiled, she will finally see Cassandra again. She still looks the same. She can’t wait.

She knew the likelihood of her crossing paths with Cassandra here in New York was 99% sure.   

Now it was 100%.
